Ideas?
AshBoy - Oct 5, 2011
Hey all you awesome people! I need an idea for a new piece. Anyone have something to offer? If you want, we can do a collaboration, I just want something to do. My musical mind is having a block right now on beginnings.

Hmm...Do you ever experiment with different scales? I occasionaly play around with different scales, and actually just yesterday I came up with a scale that combines the C blues scale and the F sharp blues scale. I'm thinking of using it in a song soon. And my song "The Snake" is in Locrian mode. The whole point of this is to say, you could mess around with a scale you don't normally use, and write a song using it!
Do you like to do pop music, you could think of a song and make it your own? Thats wat i do!
Feel free to check out my song 'Untitled'. It's just a collection of piano riffs that I made up. You could probably transfer them to a string ensemble of about 4 or 3 like some of your other scores and make them flow a little better. My riffs are really basic and simple, because I am not that good yet, although you could probably make them sound really nice. Also, how do you post your compositions onto the group page?
On the composition, click add to group. Top right somewhere :P
Okay, awesome! I think I might try arranging something for once, Ive never done it before...
Maybe ya should write a classical style!
maybe?
Personally, I find emotional inspiration to have the most creative results. Experimentation is good and can lead to new things....but it is a mathematical approach to music that is limited.
Sometimes inspiration is not there, just wait.
Read a book, if its good, it'll give you some ideas. I've been using some of the same books for over two years
how do u collab?
