About this score

UPDATES:
*Changed the ending so it ends pretty tastefully :P
*Changed some stuff around like how the piccolo is now playing the high notes like at the very end, don't want a dead piccolo player you know.
*My precious Tubular Bells now have a *bigger* part (even though you never hear it)
*Took off the piano part, it was driving me nuts in another soundfont. (WHICH I RECOMMEND YOU DO, it sounds so much better with either Merlin_gold or GeneralUser)
Now if only the default soundfont for musescore.com was a mixture of Merlin, GeneralUser, and TimGM. I mean the clarinet and horn sounds wonderful in Merlin/General but it's horrible in TimGM, the Percussion parts are AMAZING in General except for the high hat, Merlin dominates that (Merlin also has the gong). and TimGM sounds full :)

Yeah! I finished it! This is like the 3rd song I finished ಠ__ಠ.
I finished the 2nd part in 3 hours and the first part took 2 months. I'm awful lol.
Anyways, enjoy, comment, I don't own this.

Bars 25 and 31 really grabbed me and I wondered how you would be able to finish and you did a really good job. Title doesn't seem to fit to me, as well as being philosophically inappropriate.

randomuniq's picture

oh thank you :) This is an arrangement (I should've said it in the description huh?) so I can't really change the title haha

Big Johnny's picture

Yeah, good job!

Scarface's picture

I feel bad for the percussionist with the tambourine...

randomuniq's picture

awh it's not that bad :) I've given tambourine harder stuff, what they usually do (or what I've seen) is they just hit the first eighth note as an accent and shake it in time, or use their hands on the head :D

Timpanibeast's picture

I will say I'm not a love song guy, but I love this!

I love this! Great arrangement of a great song. I am not a huge woodwind lover, but the woodwind parts sounds awesome.

Thank you! I hope the brass parts are satisfying though :|

TromboneEnsembleMusic's picture

I'm not a huge woodwind lover, but I have to say, you really know how to make a woodwind part sound awesome. Truly an excellent job! I also love the horn parts you write, they sound awesome.

randomuniq's picture

Heh, thank you so much :) I love me some woodwinds. What I have troubles with though are some brass instruments, so I hope the trombone, tuba, and trumpet parts sound okay cause they're mostly repeated stuff :|

Mega's picture

Very nice!

randomuniq's picture

Thanks :)

randomuniq's picture

Oh thank you :) I love the high woodwinds too, considering I'm a flautist! hah I'm happy you enjoy it

randomuniq's picture

Yay! I'm gonna do another one of these. And it's gonna be a Christmas song cause goodness knows how long I take to arrange something.

The Small Cheese's picture

You're right, the ending gives a much better sense of finality to the piece.

As for the composing/arranging skills, don't be ashamed because you're learning; even experts are still just learning and experimenting. Think of it as your journey to expertise :)

randomuniq's picture

I changed the ending (and some other stuff) :D Please comment more! I need help on my composing/arranging skills.

The Small Cheese's picture

That was pretty sweet, I've got to say.
Like what was previously mentioned, the ending needs work.

I see that you were trying to remain faithful to the original song, as that is how it ended, but I think it's your right as a composer to make an ending that reflects the change in instrumentation.

Still, great work. I'm jealous :)

N i C K.'s picture

Brilliant, but the ending is incredibly disappointing. Whats up with that? I'd fix it if I were you, it subtracts from the overall awesomeness you've got going there.

N i C K..'s picture

Ha, you fixed it. Awesomeness.

randomuniq's picture

:) hah yeah! The only reason I added the piano in the early version was just for the arpeggio in the ending, which did not end well lol. So I deleted it! It was so overpowering in merlin_gold (the soundfont I usually use).
