I agree with the username with the complicated number. Though I can do an okay job of hearing the words in my head, I think only a performance will be able to give an idea of how it truly sounds. Does your -quite tiny- school have a chorus? You could ask them to check it out.....
I really like the lyrics though! And the tune is bouncy and fun, yet peaceful at the same time (reminded me of your Mario 64 arrangement). Great job with the songwriting, that's something I'm probably never gonna try out. Did the lyrics originate as a poem, or did you just put them into the music?
Thank you! Although, I don't think I'm gonna bring this one in to the choir (and YES...we do have a choir with about somewhere between 25 and 55 students. I'm not in the choir...so I wouldn't know). When I started writing it, It was a poem...but I got a little anxious, so I didn't quite finish it, and I started all together.
I got a good grade though! "One of a kind" :P
OH...And I have to give some credit to Craig (AKA LEGENDARY CHIMES PLAYER for Joy To The World) as he is an excellent drumset player and he filled me in on some basic drum patterns.
Well, I would hope you got a good grade! I mean, who writes a SONG for a book project these days? And yes, that chimes player was very good, he really helped spice up the performance. Props to Craig!
*cough*me*cough*
I write songs for projects! Well more like if I have a project I'll take an old song and make up some alternate meaning that relates to the book. xD
??
The only thing I would recommend is to change some of the tied eighth notes into quarter notes, to make it more accurate and easier to read for the singer.
great
Very cool melodies! Some parts kind of have that news show sound. It's a beat that sounds like a clock passing time:)
This sounds awesome!!! I think it would sound even cooler if you added a electric bass and it could be the same part for the bottom note for the left hand on the piano.
It's time like this when I wish MuseScore could actually simulate the words. It's so hard for me to keep up sight reading! Great piece!
haha thank you =)
What book was it for?
Believe it or not, but I wrote this about a book of short stories entitled, Local News. The only thing the stories really had in common (as they were very diverse) is that they were all stories :P
Cool Song :)
