Wow... this dazzled me. I love the effects in the harp at the cymbals, they add so much. It transitions really well, I need to work on my transitioning in my pieces, you do it so smoothly. I love like the peaceful melody in the flute at the end, it really sums up the piece, I can imagine the peaceful sky and rainbow coming out. This deserves to be at the top of the charts. Also favorited.
Beautiful. Almost perfect. Being a cellist, I particularly love the last note :) I dont have an idea on how playable this is for most instruments, but I can say that the high pedal on the violin at the beginning is too long to be played by a single bow. Your use of tonality and harmony is impeccable, and the story of the hurricane and rainbow is marvellously told.
One slight criticism I have- although I can also see why you may have done this- the semiquaver rhythm you use between bars 34 and 57+ in the violins does get a tad bit repetitive. Perhaps this is due to the repetitive nature of a swirling storm, I just found it a little tedious.
Overall though, fairly darn marvellous. Favourited.
Thank you for your incredible helpful and confidence bolstering comment!! I feel you on the repetition, but I really needed some instrument to keep that melody line going throughout the whole piece for continuity. I am also a cellist (but not altogether that great of one), and the length of the note at the beginning never occurred to me. If I were going to print and/or publish it (I wish), I would probably just write something like "Stagger Bowing" over it. Thanks again for your positive feedback :)
Amazing! It does sound like a recent hurricane. I agree with BarryP, it shows much mood and effect. I love it!
That was unbelievable! You really created a wonderful effect and mood with this piece. This really grew since the last time I heard it. You put an unbelievable amount of work into this - and it shows. Thanks for sharing it with us!
That was amazing! I thought it started a little slow though. But wow O_O
