Consider flute range in opening --- might be better one octave higher. In general, it's an excellent composition.
It sounds better low, because at that point in the song there isn't much going on, so you don't need it to be high for it to be heard. I change a million things back and forth before a song is completed, so every octave option has already been tested. Thank you for idea though!
