Stepping aside from the "Aeriad Soundtrack," my buddy and I are going to try to create a video game (it's the first one, too, so I'm not sure how it will go). Anyway, as he does all the programming, I'm writing the background music. As it is for a game, the music is supposed to be an eternal loop at the repeat sign. Comments would be appreciated!

Quick Question, what happened to "Watch Your Back"?

Mega's picture

I took it down.

Do you still need it for your Amnesia map? If so, I could get it to you.

MegaMettaurs3001's picture

OK, I sent you an E-Mail.

phantom's picture

this is veeery creative. good luck on your video game

Mega's picture

Thanks! If you like it, you're in luck, because I have a lot more songs for the Hunger Games Sound Track.

MasterSaxophone's picture

AMAZING! Blown away.
I would definately buy that game

Mega's picture

Thank you. Well, if you knew about the stupid graphics, then you might not say that twice...but again thank you.

BlackTecno's picture

This just shows how awesome percussion is, very nice job!

Mega's picture

Thank you BlackTechno. This songs was actually one of my first percussion experiments. I'm glad that you enjoyed it.

Maestro Aamir's picture

Hm.. I stand corrected; this isn't good for Pokémon- it should be for Spyro!

Mega's picture

Never played Spyro before, but I heard a lot about him....

Spuddboy2's picture

This song got me dancing in my seat while listening to it!!! I could definitely see this as the BGM for Snowpoint City in Pokemon, as Maestro Aamir said. Wishing the best of success for your video game endeavor :) should be interesting when it's all put together!!!

Mega's picture

Thank you!!!!!

AshBoy's picture

Very catchy!!!!!!! That seems like it will be PERFECT for the video game. I think it would also fit a Desert terrain really well, it seems to have elements of common video game desert themes, though I can't specifically describe them..... Do you know what I mean?

Tmoney's picture

I agree! When the synth hits what I would guess to be a flat 9 of a c7 chord... lol probably wrong. I wish I knew what chord/scale relationship that is! >.<

Mega's picture

Thank you! Sadly, I kinda don't understand what you mean when you say it can fit a desert...I mean, I guess I can see it when the synth. takes an alternate melody. Anyway, thanks a lot!

AshBoy's picture

Yeah, that's the main place where I thought it would fit. I guess the beginning is better for a snow terrain though. Good luck on your video game!

MegaMettaurs3001's picture

Thank you a lot!

Flyingninja77's picture

Yes, at certain points it sounds more like a Paper Mario-themed desert, but the beginning has a very snow-theme sound to it.

Mega's picture

LOL! Thanks for that, ninja! I loved Paper Mario.

Tmoney's picture

This is very appropriate for what you were going for. I dig it. :3

Mega's picture

Oh, thank you, Tmoney! That's so nice!!!

Maestro Aamir's picture

This should have been the music for Snow Point City of Pokémon DPP! Great job! :)

Mega's picture

Haha, thanks! I played Pokemon a while ago. Thanks for the comment!

I'm Cool's picture

cool! Is making a video game easy? I'd like to do it if I could.

Mega's picture

Thanks. And it depends on what program you are using, and how complexed your game is. There are many on-and-offline programming courses that you can take to become farmiliar with whatever program you are using.

Spuddboy2's picture

This is some very insightful stuff!!! MegaMettaurus, look deep inside yourself and try to find meaning in these utterly important 7 letters... f-x-d-f-c-f-g....wow it just gives me the chills....do you see it MegaMettaurus?? :P

Mega's picture

AARRGG!!!!! I STILL DON'T GET IT!!!!
Can ANYONE please explain???

Spuddboy2's picture

I actually don't get it either.. I was just being obnoxious... sorry haha :P
It might just be a spammer. Unfortunately they think it's cool to post highly innappropriate terms, one after another, on a random person's randomly selected song. Whether it's just a bug or an actual person behind these actions, is hard to tell but try paying no attention to it. I think they're trying to see if they can create some sort of feed on the actual score, as opposed to on the comment thingy which is what happened to trumviolpianclar once. I'm pretty sure it happened to several other people too...

Mega's picture

Thanks for letting me know.

Flyingninja77's picture

Wait... I've got it! f[i]x d[a] f[irst] "c" f[or] g[oodness sake]. Except... that doesn't make much sense, because there's no "c" in the note region. Or it could mean f[ive] d[elicious] f[avorites] c[aught] f[ans' attention.] G[reat!] Or it could mean....

I don't really have a clue. And iheartmusic isn't telling us.

Happy trails, Flyingninja77

P.S. You don't need to fix the first "c" (or any c, for that matter).

Mega's picture

What do these markings mean? If it's some texting language, I don't understand. Can you repost your comment?

Fire Phoenix's picture

Nice. Hope the video game goes well.

MegaMettaurs3001's picture

Thank you. I'm working hard on the songs!

maria9876's picture

This is great!

Thanks, Maria! If you're interested, you may want to check out my other songs, either by viewing my profile, or going to MegaMettaurs3000, my first account!

Flyingninja77's picture

This is a great song! It fits the "snowy terrain" feel perfectly. And tell your buddy I said, "Good luck on your game. I hope it plays well." And kudos to you, MegaMettaurs , on yet another fantastic song!

Mega's picture

Thank you, Amazing Ninja!

Flyingninja77's picture

Hahaha! I don't consider myself "amazing," but I thank you for your kind words. I hope to hear more great songs from your soundtrack/video game/whatever's next. If you are young, I have no doubt that you will excel far beyond your current abilities in the future.

MegaMettaurs3001's picture

No, you are really good! Way better than I could ever be, and I'm seriously not joking!

Flyingninja77's picture

Now that's a flat-out lie! You're insulting my ability, telling me that my pieces are "way better than [you] could ever be" when yours are just as good. While it may seem like a nice exaggeration, it's just plain dishonest. And dishonesty ruins a compliment, in my opinion. If you're going to say I'm good, please do it in an honest way.
I don't want to be too brutal, but I DO want to make my point. I hope you understand, because you're a cool guy.

Happy trails, Flyingninja77

Flyingninja77's picture

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make a big deal about it. But hey, we're still amigos, ¿sí?

MegaMettaurs3001's picture

Haha, right! And I didn't mean to upest you, ninja! I wasn't trying to insult myself to recieve compliments or anything; I just seriously am found of your songs. I won't mention it in extreems, if you want.

Flyingninja77's picture

Yeah, thanks.

On another note, how's the game coming? Has your friend given you any updates?

MegaMettaurs3001's picture

I'm not sure. We don't talk about it too much, because at this momment, we're both working on it. He gives me his opinion on my songs, but I don't hear too much more than that.

musicdude29's picture

I'm just curious, but what type of game are you making and what program are you using? If the game is as good as the song, it will be a great game. :)

MegaMettaurs3001's picture

I don't mean to sound stupid or anything, but I don't know anything as far as development is concerned--Not even what program we're using! The game is all about survival; each player must use his resources to stay alive as long as possible. Actually, we just came up with this idea. I don't even know what the game is called!

musicdude29's picture

That sounds like a hard a game to make. Except I don't know much about programing. Good luck though.

Mega's picture

The program is C++, I believe. The game is kind of like 'The Hunger Games,' because the goal is to be the last survivor.
