I don't have anything for your combinations but I will shortly be posting some simple violin, violin cello material that I wrote some time ago for the same reasons as you wrote this satisfying little piece. Most of my stuff has been written for the same reason but has got more sophisticated as the players got better! Well done and thankyou for posting it.
Hmm...has a resemblance to kreisler's "the sadness of love". Anyhow, I like it. Sadly, I don't know many good pieces for such a trio, however, the trio sonata was a viral ensemble in the time of such greats as Bach, Vivaldi, and many of their precursors like Corelli. If I were you, I'd do a search on imslp.org for trio sonata move. Good luck!
