This is actually a piano arrangement of the Jun'ya Ota (aka ZUN) song 'U.N. Owen was her?' (aka the theme of the 'Extra Stage Boss, Flandre Scarlet') from the 2002 video game "Embodiment of the Scarlet Devil" (a vertical scrolling shooter game).
You might find an audio version with a search for 'UN Owen Was Her- Full version'
If you want to see John Stump's 1991 score and more information, do a search for --
'The Unplayable Score: Faerie's Aire and Death Waltz - John Stump' and
'John Stump, composer of Faerie’s Aire and Death Waltz'
It's also an 'impossible' score (perhaps more so), but with it's MANY humorous elements it seems meant more as a visual piece of art instead of an aural one.
Also do a search for 'Death Waltz Day'. John Stump died in 2006 and 'in honor of Death Waltz Day, [his nephew] would like to issue a challenge to any music programmers out there to actually input John’s composition “Faerie’s Aire and Death Waltz” into some musical software program and send us the results of what it would sound like. '
I don't know if anyone has (or could) accurately accomplish this in MuseScore, but if you do a search for -- '"Faerie's Aire and Death Waltz" presented by CSMTA'
you can hear what currently appears to be the best arrangement and performance of the comical score.
Hopefully someone eventually scores the work and definitively clarifies the difference between 'U.N. Owen was her?' and 'Faerie’s Aire and Death Waltz'.
I think I could play that much...
I love this song. unfortunately it is not "Death Waltz" and it is not by John Stump. It is U.N. Owen Was Her? a.k.a. Flandre's Theme from the game Touhou 6. It was originally composed by ZUN, the creator of the Touhou project.
It's the same song....
Normal Waltz is 3/4 but this song is 66/66. That is why its called the death waltz. But sadly, the Creator (composer) of this music passed away in 2007. So this song is like a curse?
Oh, my God! I LOVE IT!! VideoScrore would be awesome :)
that is incredible, how did you did it????????
Ok, 1 I had to set the screen to 50% veiw to see the whole screen, 2. Aren't waltzes in 3/4 time? and 3, Alot to the notes won't even fit on sheet music. 4. This is a good song XD
Excuse me, do you know how to get it to where you can see all 14 parts?
Hey, is there a way to download this so that you can see all 14 parts and not just up to Other 1? Thanks. :) It's a really cool piece and I'd love to be able to play it.
Good luck with playing it... It requires TWO players with FOUR hands. So, you have to grab a buddy to play with you.
it requires 16 hands. So go grab 7 buddies if you want t play this
Buddy has been found. Problem is, not all the lines are visible. Do you know where I can find the sheets with the whole song on it?
