This is an experiment with odd time signatures (4+3+4+2) that I did in april 2003. The difficult thing is to make those odd time signatures sound natural, and I think I succeeded in making it some kind of weird bossa nova rythm.
Now, this is a jazz combo arrangement for trumpet, tenor sax, piano, bass and drums. It should be noted that bass as well as drum notation is just examples; there are room for much ad lib, but since I am neither a bass player (well, I actually play some bass, but that's beside the point) nor a drummer, it is fairly basic. The same goes for the piano parts in sections B and C.
Originally, I intended the piano part to be played by steel pans, but as far as I know steel pans are pentatonic which makes it impossible to play in reality.
