Vinterväg

Uploaded on Jan 8, 2016

A small piece I wrote in autumn, 1999. My friend Andreas Runeson - the man behind the Compunctio record label - named it "Vinterväg" ("Winter Road"), somehow thinking of the car accident in which legendary jazz pianist Jan Johansson died. I guess that is a compliment, but I'm not sure.

The harmonies are largely influenced by Pat Metheny. No minor chords and only two dominant chords. Measure 13–16 is somewhat revised compared to the 1999 version.

It's Breathtaking. No words.
Thank you! Although I really hope you played it by the piano, since the stumping sequencer track sucks... :-)
