Mine is my rondo for a sonata collab
Hey guys, so I got an invite to join this group, so that's cool. I'm Lizante, if you didn't know that already, a random Nintendo otaku who also loves anime. I play viola and will not tolerate any viola jokes unless they're genuinely funny. That's all you need to know, hope we can be friends! ^^
I recently updated my score last night, and it plays just fine on the safari site and on desktop. The app is the only platform that has this problem. I hear and see an outdated version of my score, and I can’t do anything to update it.
The first contest in this group. Yayyyyy!
So, here's the description:
1. The music has to be gloomy and sad (I have STD (just kidding) )
2. 4/4 time
3. No key signature
4. Instrument: Piano
The Winner will be announced everywhere possible!
Send the file to my email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I'm fine with whatever.
This group is inactive XD
I encourage the musescore.com staff to respond more often to bug and feature requests in this forum so users posting know that there feedback has been received and to incentivise user participation. I really appreciate the responsiveness of the forums on musescore.org and wish for a similar level of interaction here. Thanks.
Since I've started using Musescore 3, my scores do not process on the website and I can't share them… Some say the bug has disappeared, but not for me. I use MuseScore's last version (or it does not find the updates). This is the score that can't process : https://musescore.com/user/20314396/scores/5539572
Curious for violinists... and tubaists -Mint
hey very talented people (obviously not me)
I could not help but notice that whenever I upload something at least one person (as many as 4) "view" it before I do. I'd like to think its the folks at Mariinsky or the Amsterdam Concertgebouw checking me out, but I rather think something more cynical. There are a few thousand people in this corner of the universe and I doubt it is immune to malfeasance. I'm sure the work of many MS people are stolen. I'm also NOT blaming you folks who run this place and only wish I had the tech savvy to come up with a solution. So...my work is uploaded with my name and avatar and there is a record of the date of upload, yes? Can I assume this (along with manuscript or hard copy) is some sort of protection in the event the scapegrace is discovered?
Also, I had noticed Mark Sabatella had an idea for a conduit to direct MS compositions and arrangements to performers which he put forth on this page. As yet I've seen no follow up, no doubt he is busy with Version 3 and all his teaching and video activities (quite a load for one person). I think this is essential - as long as our work is available to charlatans we should have a conduit towards good application. MS prides itself in its score reproduction. Lets get our work in the right hands, too. We should advance his idea and do what we can to assist. Thanks.
Today marks the release of MuseScore Piano Roll. Piano Roll is a popular and convenient method to display piano notation in a way that not only simplifies learning a new piece for novice musicians who lack a teacher, it also beautifully visualizes each score.
(Video captured from https://musescore.com/classicman/scores/33715 )
Give it a try by simply clicking on the Piano Roll icon now available on all solo piano scores. Be sure to tell us what you think in Improving MuseScore.com!
All of these improvements are designed to not only make MuseScore.com the most valuable resource online for sharing and discovering great musical works but for learning them as well.
We hope you’ll be as excited about this new feature as we were to create it for you, and as always we look forward to your feedback.
This is just the first of an exciting series of updates and releases for MuseScore PianoRoll; we're already hard at work on improving the experience!
Hey you Composers out there!
(Looks like I can pin discussions now! Hehehe >:) )
Welcome to this group, and thanks for joining! Compose, arrange, share tips and experience, and participate in contests. Share your music and get it heard! Discuss whatever you please!
Thank you for joining this group!
First of all, let's go over some general rules.
1. No spamming. It's really annoying.
2. Don't be mean. Also, minimal swearing please. If you want to swear a lot go to a swearing club or something.
3. Anyone can make contests!
4. Discuss whatever you want, but don't go to far please. *cough* MusixFox *cough*
5. (The most important rule) Have fun!
I'm a newbie to Musescore (downloaded Version 22.214.171.12492 today) although an experienced former PrintMusic user.
Puzzled out most of it OK. After a couple of hours I've got a lead sheet with music, chord symbols and lyrics.
However, I've hit a brick wall trying to move the staves up and down a bit to pretty up the layout. So far, I've tried:
- altering all staff spacing
- altering space above one specific staff, and
- inserting a spacer above a staff.
The first two of these let me adjust y and hit OK, the last lets me play with a little blue arrow. But NONE of these results in any of the staves moving at all.
What am I missing?
