How many of you play the piano?
Why are there transposing instruments? I mean you play a certain note but the one you played is different than the one written on the music? Why do we have this? Why dk we make it to where the Bari sax is reading treble clef? That's really just kind of twisted...
I didn't think to go deep into the subject of bass guitar, although I have an acoustic instrument for home music.
But there were pieces, where the bass is revealed unexpectedly full and beautiful — that's why I decided that it is necessary to share.
However, there was no group where such scores were in demand.
So this group was created.
And then there were musical pieces, where a variety of instruments have a solo in the bass register. And the group slowly began to be filled with content. Yet the catalog is very modest. But it's not evening yet...
any body wanna play
This is a duet that I wrote a few days ago. I thought it sounded lovely so I would like to share it with all of you!
If you are new to the group, welcome!

Last Monday we did another #MusescoreMonday release.
This time a drum feature used in a Marchingband show, that we also did the choreography for.
Check it out:
We'd love to hear what you think of it.

I'm starting to realize that the first week or so, you have to get the notes down first, then your fingers, magically, just remeber where your fingers go. If you know what I mean.
Do y'all agree?

I'm always looking for hymns arranged for the flute and piano. Anyone else?
This is a short arrangement of the beautiful hymn "Abide with Me" for string quartet. Hope you enjoy!
I'm new here and still not very good with the software, but I saw a discussion about the lack of scores for cello in the musescore community, so here's one of my own adaptations as an exemple:
All you have to do is change any instrument in any sheet you'd like for cello, make sure the clef is right, select that instrument (line) from the begining to the end of the sheet and adjust all the notes at once clicking up and/or low on your keyboard. When you are satisfied with the notes (I like to play it lower, darker, whenever possible), you are set.
You can also change all the other instruments in a symphony (select the instrument line + up/down until you have it harmonized with the cello part) or convert a whole symphony for a cello orchestra.
I thought this post could be useful for newcomers. If this is a repeatitive subject, please moderate and delete. :)
