I'm in one of the first ensembles to play the piece, and if you can get your hands on it, you need to play it. It's a very Clarinet-heavy work, with an Oboe Solo (Clarinets play a second, hidden part, so I don't know if it's a solo), A trumpet solo, a Flute solo, and a Sax Quartet. Music for a gentler time indeed...
It might not be released yet, just look for the Clinton High School Wind Ensemble's performance of it in March. It may be released, I don't know. Just keep a look out.
(If I'm way to active, let me know)
Wrote a composition over background part of What I wouldn't do by Serena Ryder! Please check it out!!!!
Any comments for things to improve much appreciated!!
Have an amazing day! :)
I am currently composing a fantasie, and i'm stuck at a C minor part, where I want to change to D minor. What chord progression do you reccomend for me to do that?
Is there a group for specifically virtuosic piano pieces
As promised, albeit delayed, this is the second contest! I'm not calling the second "week" because I will extend the period to nearly two weeks because I will be away for a period of time, but nevertheless, the competition ensues. The contest is created as a personal quest to find challenging music (and still in the realms of playability) that is technically sound and/or emotionally charged, and also as a platform for virtuoso pianist/composers to show off their skill. Here are a few rules:
1. Instrument: Piano Solo only
2. Duration of piece: Maximum of 7 minutes
3. Style of piece that is allowed this week: Fugue and/or Toccata
4. Only one piece per person per style
5. Leave the link in the comment below
6. It cannot be a transcription (obviously).
The deadline of the contest will be on the 22/12, 1400 hours (GMT)
The songs submitted must be as hard/equal in difficulty to the songs below:
Nightmare Scherzo (Piano Sonata no. 1 mov. 2) by Mason K. Ichida
Toccata or "Rush Hour", from Cityscape, movement 1, by kenneth.r.t.
SCORES RATED ABOVE 4.5:
ChrisHill - Etude no. 4 in F-Sharp Minor, "Inflexion"
Challenges of the "week" will be in the comment below, soon to be posted. I sincerely apologize for using my score as a challenge for the competition, however there seems to be a lack of hard original fugues that I think would be a good standard for the competition. I did comb through listening to a few pages worth of original fugues, and toccatas were even harder to find.
The winner of the previous week was ChrisHill, a hearty congratulations! For those who are able to obtain above 4.5 from me in this competition, his/her score will be posted as above for the next week. The score with the highest rating for the competition will win the competition!
This is my first piano score and still needs work, so please give me feedback.
I'm making a studio, but I haven't finished it yet and I don't like it so much. Could you help me?

Thanks in advance!
Hi everybody! I don't know if i'm writing in the right place but i would ask you if you have this sheet music. It's a very strange request. A very very very strange one. The song's name is Kärleksvisan by Sarah Dawn Finer. It's a very sweet swedish song. I would like to dedicate it to a person who's very important to me. Could you direct me to where to look, please? Thank you!
I wasn't sure who I should ask this question to, so I just decided to post it here. Is there a way to plug a MIDI cable into your keyboard, then hook the USB part to your computer, and play something on your keyboard and the computer will make up the score all by itself instead of having to write in the notes manually? Or do you have to have a Pro account to be able to do this? Me and my mom tried, but it didn't seem to work ... and that's one of the main reasons I got MuseScore. :) Any help would be appreciated!!! (I hope it made sense.)
Please let me know what you think of my transcription: https://musescore.com/user/20666806/scores/5376704
Thanks in advance!
Great emotional piece with some legendary oboe solos. Be sure to have mastered dynamic influence while going into notes, that's a key part in this song. Don't forget to breath, you'll need all the air possible for this one.
I love this song and I would love to play it on the piano; however, I can not find the sheet music anywhere! If anyone wants to take on a challenge and make the sheet music it would be AWESOME!!!!! but no one do it unless you actually really want to. The song is called I'll Follow You by Christon Gray :)
My pieces suck.
How do you get a profiel? i dont know how, but should ;0
who has perfect pitch and how did you acquire it?
