Composition Contest - 100$ Award

Greetings fellow composer,

I am hosting a composing competition for this month. In order to take place you must sumbit a ORIGINAL composition of a POLONAISE in this discussion.

Two winners will be picked and will be awarded 100$ at the end of the month I will personally message the winners)

This competition is being hosted in order to encourage composers to write a original composition.

Sincerely, Carl.

String Quartet Arrangement Advice

Hi folks!

Hope I'm not intruding on the group, I'm not much of a classical string player but I'm looking for advice from some. I'm working on my first string quartet arrangement and I was just wondering of some of you folks might be so kind as to take a look over the score and let me know if you see any glaring errors or idiosyncrasies.

Cello

Hi All,
I am a cellist and have been playing for over 5 years. I am looking for some fun pieces to play. I am not as far as I want to be with my playing as I've been kept back for a while now. If anyone has any suggestions that would be much appreciated. Many thanks!

Proud Songsters

This is a composition for piano and strings in the English pastoral style on the theme of birdsong. I expect most composers would use a wind instrument for birdsong, and Vaughan-Williams used the violin in The Lark Ascending, but I have tried the piano instead. I don't think the musescore audio source is working properly but I have added an audio source that uses the Salamander Yamaha C5.

By the way this is not related to the wonderful song for Baritone 'Proud Songsters' by Gerald Finzi, which is a setting of the poem of that name by Thomas Hardy. I just took my title from the poem.

Be sure to check out my other songs.

So, I probably should have posted this when I originally added them to the group, but if you liked the previous song I shared, be sure to check out the other songs I've written and uploaded for quite a while. Links are below.
