I play the tenor sax and I'm trying to get my G# key to cooperate but it won't.. this is my first year of playing sax. So how do I do it? Thanks!
In MuseScore.com discussion groups like this one the info to the right of a thread shows the user who opened the thread, the date when the thread has been opened and the number of replies.
It would be VERY helpful, if additionally the date of the latest reply and the name of the user who posted the last reply were shown. This would avoid having to open the thread again and again if I want to see if there's something new.
In many cases, e.g. when reporting an error or asking for help it would often be helpful to add a screenshot or a sample file.
In https://musescore.org/en/forum it is possible and frequently used.
Currently I cannot do that. Is it a missing feature or is it just me who has not found out how to do it?
This problem has existed for several months now, I wonder if it will ever get fixed?
I believe the problem is limited to MS V3 scores. I now have several scores which after upload are being processed for a very log time and eventually the link to the score will result in a "Page not found" message.
I've tried to export one of the scores to MusicXML and import it in MuseScore V2.
When uploaded the MS V2 version of the score is processed as expected and available. This is not a feasible workaround as quite some layout adjustments would need to be applied.
What's the longest word that you can say, fluently? The longest that I can say fluently is: pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.
I learned that just so I could say it to my friend who has read the dictionary. LOL! :)
I'm arranging a song and it has a section that repeats four times, each time I want it to add a part, however I do not know how to do that. I've messed with volta lines with no luck, help?
can´t stop an pdf import cause it´s in a repetition loop
how can i stop this to create a new pdf
If anybody is reading this, could you try and make a alto saxophone part for "Splish Splash" by Bobby Darin. If you could do that then that would be amazing. Thank You!
MuseScore 2 users end up at https://musescore.com/import following the Import PDF option in their software. Nothing on that page indicates that they won't be able to open the resulting file, as that is now in the MS3 format.
Please add a clear statement showing which musescore version is used on the backend to generate this file.
Hi guys, I'm kind of new to MuseScore.
I'm a self-taught pianist (I've only had, like, two piano lessons, and hated them). I play by ear, though I can read music a bit. I've been playing for about four years, since I was 10.
I love just writing tunes that sound nice for fun, but are there any "rules" to stick to when composing music?
Open to criticism, it sounds like a happy ending.
Check out my new transcription score of Malaguena arranged by Stan Kenton. 23 Degrees is next!
T-Series has finally overtaken PewDiePie with a sub gap of over 3,000, please, make as many new emails as it takes or get your stubborn friends who haven't subscribed yet to do so, we need to help Felix!
Today marks the release of MuseScore Piano Roll. Piano Roll is a popular and convenient method to display piano notation in a way that not only simplifies learning a new piece for novice musicians who lack a teacher, it also beautifully visualizes each score.
(Video captured from https://musescore.com/classicman/scores/33715 )
Give it a try by simply clicking on the Piano Roll icon now available on all solo piano scores. Be sure to tell us what you think in Improving MuseScore.com!
All of these improvements are designed to not only make MuseScore.com the most valuable resource online for sharing and discovering great musical works but for learning them as well.
We hope you’ll be as excited about this new feature as we were to create it for you, and as always we look forward to your feedback.
This is just the first of an exciting series of updates and releases for MuseScore PianoRoll; we're already hard at work on improving the experience!
I have been thinking, this group seems a little boring so how about we lighten it up by chatting :)
My name is Caroline and I just joined! A bit about me:
David Bowie is my favorite singer
Queen and Guns n' Roses are my favorite bands
I love cats :3
I play piano and an eensy weensy bit of guitar
My biggest pet peeves are my siblings and when someone steps on the back of my shoe and doesn't apologize
I love to read, write, draw, and sing
I only listen to Rock music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. The only Pop I listen to is Michael Jackson and Prince, NEVER modern pop :P
I hope to meet some new people here and I'm super excited to be a part of this group! Toodles!

I'm self taught in piano and I'm teaching myself guitar (I'm open to any and all tips!!)
Also I want to be able to write my own music, but I just can't do it! Does any one have any tips about how I can learn to compose my own stuff?
Please check it out and leave feedback! Thanks! :D
