Variation on a theme contest (Ended)

It is about the time of the anniversary of the death of my beloved grandfather. As I think I have not done enough deeds for him before he passed away, I would honour him with a contest. I would like you to make a variation on this theme by Schumann. I gave you historical background on the piece in the description of the work.

Edit: Link closed due to the end of the contest

Rules:
This must only be for piano solo
The variation must be under 4 minutes and longer than 30 seconds.
You may use any form in your composition: sonata, rondo, theme or variations
Have fun!

Winners will  have a follow from me and maybe have their piece placed in my upcoming Carnaval suite for solo piano.

The contest will end on 6 January (Happy birthday Scriabin!)
Extended to 10th January

Good job to MadDuck for winning this contest!

Is this group active?

in Piano

For the largest group on musescore, this group is fairly unactive. If you are actually active just comment on this. It'll be interesting to see how many people actually respond. RSA has a much larger activity feed even with them being more then 50 times smaller than this group. Piano is at 58.6k members and RSA at 906 members. There's a lot of people not doing anything.

My first composition....maybe the start of my composition journey :)

Well, after months of going back and forth with this and self-doubt, i decided to take a stpe foward and start learning how to compose. This is my fisrt ever completed piece, for piano, which interestingly is not my instrument (but classical guitar). Still, this is the introduction to hopefully my first work. Please tell me your opinion and advice, as i am "thristy" to learn more! Finally, i hope you enjoy! :))

Testing out a new soundfont and I came across this weird audio glitch

in Piano

While using a new high-quality soundfound, the audio will start to stutter and break down completely after a few measures.
In the Musescore program, it happens after a few continued measures, so I thought it could be a rendering problem, but the issue persisted on the website upload, which means that the audio is perhaps rendered in real-time.

The font I was testing is the Salamander Grand Piano v3, and it's the only one I've had this problem with.

Has anyone encountered this before and how can I fix this?
I've tried enabling/disabling the audio normalizing function, changed bitrate and sample rate, changed soundfound folder and drive, disabled effects, but nothing seems to work.

Thank you in advance.
