who is chinadoll?

Some folks have wanted to know, "who is chinadoll?" These one or two folks are musescore members with an abundance of free time and curiosity about trivial issues that have nothing to do with music composition. That said (written), let us (me, this is confusing) be clear, they are very nice people and chinadoll is deeply touched (in the head, most likely) by their interest. So here goes.

Chinadoll has beautiful glossy golden brown hair, large soft eyes, a very quiet shy disposition along with an exceptionally sweet and gentle nature. Chinadoll loves loves fresh fruit (especially bananas) and vegetables. Yes, chinadoll is a Syrian Hamster with a bit of a talent for composing music. Late at night when everyone is asleep, chinadoll will tap out the notes on the home computer using her little paws. She loves attention and lots of gentle petting (especially if you give her a treat).

MDL + More

In addition to MDL, I think many could agree that MuseScore also needs MFE (MuseScore Front Ensemble), to work in conjuction with MFE as a soundfont. I understand it is hard to get nice sounds on an open-source software, but it would be nice to have. Here are suggestions for the soundfont in mind:

UPDATED SOUNDS
- Marimba (with 3 hardnesses); the marimba sounds a little bit like a toy xylophone with a deeper voice. It doesn't sound very rich.
- Vibraphone (with 3 hardnesses); the vibes don't exactly sound metallic enough
- Xylophone (with 2/3 hardnesses)
- Glockenspiel (with 2 hardnesses)
- Chimes/Tubular bells (with 2 hardnesses); the chime sound isn't round enough and is a bit abrasive in timbre

NEW SOUNDS
- Crotales
- Gong (PLEASE)
- Suspended/China cymbals with pre-recorded rolls and hits on different sizes (similar to what VDL does)

And as well, a nice function that could be EXTREMELY useful is the ability to upload samples into a score by mp3 or wav.

Greeting to all Gaming Violists!

Don't be nervous. Join the group now. I see you sitting there, just planning on checking this group out and moving along. That's what you're doing, right? Well, I got news for you, pal! Well, ok... not like I'm going to stop you from doing that, but if your interest lies with this group, even if you aren't planning on arranging anything, joining won't hurt, right? Getting free notifications for viola gaming music isn't ever a bad thing, right? RIGHT? If you are considering putting your own arrangements in the group, however, please do so! Even if you just have some scores sitting around in your My Scores menu, just gathering dust as the occasional violist passes by, putting them here won't hurt you.

(This is not, and I repeat, NOT some lame excuse for me to get more game-related viola music for myself specifically)***
