I started studying trumpet in 2010, when It was arrround 2016 I got sick and didn´t preactice for almost a month, since then I can´t play higher notes, it has already been 2 years studying and I still can´t play them, what should I do?
I really liked composing this quartet (it took me around two weeks), and I just want feedback from others if it sounds good, (cool), or not.
I remade paganini's caprice no. 24 for soprano saxophone, so if any of you are good at soprano sax and want to try it, then go ahead and do it and record yourself playing it and send it to me.
here is the link to the sheet music: https://musescore.com/user/28342538/scores/5323997
p.s. Practice 40 hours a day :)
This is my first posted question, so I apoligize if it is not presented properly. Three years ago, I began teaching myself the alto saxophone. Now that I am 63 and playing easy old melodies on my cabin porch, There is one solo I cannot seem to find anywhere. The "Wanderer" by Dion & the Belmonts. I learned that it did exsist at one time as a solo for the alto sax. Does anyone know where I can find the sheet music. It is widely available for the tenor sax, but not the alto. I am not that proficiant to change the notes from tenor to alto. Thanks for your time, old chef.
I just posted the Theme to Jurassic Park take some time and tell me your thoughts.
@PoopFaceBomb made the tenor part so thanks to him I was able to transcript the rest, enjoy, favorite, and follow me, also drop a comment to tell me how I am Doing
I got a suggestion about maybe finding a new name. And I have no ideas. So, if you have an idea and what we could do for a name. Please let me know. I'd like this to be a group project!

Marc-Andre Hamelin is widely acclaimed as one of the greatest virtuosi alive, and has recorded all manner of pieces. I would like to enquire as to the personal preferences of this group with regard to this Canadian master?
My own favourite recordings of his:
Alkan's Symphonie pour Piano Seul; Concerto pour piano seul; Le Festin d'Esope.
Liszt's Sonata H-moll
Saint-Saens' Piano concerto no. 2, third movemnet.
That last piece he performs unassailably.
i'm currently an 8th grader and i made this sheet music for flight of the bumblebee, i can also play it, i was wondering if this is good if any suggestions comment
I’ve been playing the Alto Saxophone for a year and a half now, I have a used Holton Saxophone which is over 20 years old a the lacquer has almost worn out. I’ve been planning to by a new student Saxophone (conn Selmer AS-710) which is a brand new Saxophone with a full clear lacquer.
Now most of the jazz gigs I’ve been to and most of the professional saxophonist I’ve seen use Saxophones without any lacquer.
So my questions are
1) what is the importance of lacquer to Saxophone? (Does is affect the sound, or is it just for the cool look ?)
2) Is the conn Selmer AS-710 a good Saxophone for a student / beginner ? (It’s definitely in my budget)
