Hello, I'm writing a piece for my orchestra to play at the end of the school year, and I have a rough draft done. I'd really appreciate anything you have to say about it, especially criticism (but, of course, compliments feel good too). I don't want to look like a fool :P so I want to polish up this piece really well, even if that means writing another draft, or just write a different piece entirely.
Hey brass players, I'm just trying to get my name out there, so go check out Darth Mauldin on youtube, link here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyt1_lzcezGK3RXhIPZyR9Q
Please leave a post in this discussion for any kind of feedback.
So, I have high school audition's next week and I was wondering if anyone would want to hear me and give me some tips on how to play the stuff better. If you are interested send me a discord friend request at: master9729#3559
This is my first composure and if you could give me feedback on what I could do differently next time that would be amazing :)
I mostly play the tbone, baritone, and trumpet and I'm getting braces soon. Does it affect playing?
Hey y'all! I'm LuckyFinGirl, new to this group but not MuseScore. I am a long time violist of 11-12 years now (started when i was extremely young) and I recently sparked an interest in composing and arranging music. My music academy has 7 other violists, one as advanced as me and the others intermediate. I'm struggling to come up with a good way to write an ensemble piece on multiple levels. Any ideas, thoughts, tips?
I'm trying to get in a chamber orchestra that hands out scholarships to very good violists. I've only been playing for a year and a half but I'm accelerated.I need a catchy piece that I can work on to really impress the judges. Easy or hard, it just needs to be catchy :)
This is my first chamber piece. Though it is an early project, it is an ambitious one. Celebrating the centenary of WW1, piece seeks to pay tribute to those who have fallen of The Great War. Any feeback would me much appreciated!
Right, so I'm just starting off on trombone. I've never played a brass instrument before this, just woodwinds and strings.
