Hello dear woodwinds,
There are pieces for double bass and wind ensembles already, but they are rather difficult to listen to, so I've been arranging two pieces originally for double bass and piano; one of them to woodwind quintet, and the other one to concert band. I've been studying woodwinds a lot so I think I've made nice parts. Please have a listen:
Hello dear woodwinds,
This is my first arrangement of a song, so please look at it and give me feedback as to what to change and what to fix.
The song is Coldplay's Fix You.
I've watched countless videos on vibrato, yet I still can't develop a good vibrato, or any at all. Any clear explanations or tips would be extremely helpful!
Please and thanks!
Someone broke my viola today and I'm genuinely sad. I guess I was attached to the viola(unlike it's fingerboard lmao). But anyway I feel I just went through all the stages of grief. I dunno I guess it's because I can't play it until it get's repaired imo. Anyone else felt this?
Hi everyone! This summer I will be competing in a show with a friend of mine and we will both be playing electric violin. We want to play a pop song but it has to be somewhat complicated. I would REALLY appreciate any song suggestions and/or sheet music. Thank y'all so much!
I’m having a competition! Most voted original song gets to be played!
It doesn’t really matter what the whole thing is about. It’s just gotta be like a story... I need strings, brass, and everything. Like Peter and The Wolf, you know? Each instrument representing a different character. I don’t care what the theme is, and heck, my teacher might not like it and no one might vote— but this could be fun. He recommended me using this so I can find some great song writers.
Here is my new work, this is my second work i make a bass quintet inspired by the poem Astrophobia by H.P Lovecraft
Hope you enjoy it!
Comment me what do you think about it!
Can someone either teach me how to write aux or help me write something? I desparately need it for an indoor show (gravity) and it's gotten way better.
I'm attempting to write a timpani solo that uses the MDL rails and pictograms, but I can't find them anywhere
How do I transpose a piece of music in Musescore?
Hello, I'm writing a piece for my orchestra to play at the end of the school year, and I have a rough draft done. I'd really appreciate anything you have to say about it, especially criticism (but, of course, compliments feel good too). I don't want to look like a fool :P so I want to polish up this piece really well, even if that means writing another draft, or just write a different piece entirely.
So, I have high school audition's next week and I was wondering if anyone would want to hear me and give me some tips on how to play the stuff better. If you are interested send me a discord friend request at: master9729#3559
I'm in one of the first ensembles to play the piece, and if you can get your hands on it, you need to play it. It's a very Clarinet-heavy work, with an Oboe Solo (Clarinets play a second, hidden part, so I don't know if it's a solo), A trumpet solo, a Flute solo, and a Sax Quartet. Music for a gentler time indeed...
It might not be released yet, just look for the Clinton High School Wind Ensemble's performance of it in March. It may be released, I don't know. Just keep a look out.
(If I'm way to active, let me know)
Great emotional piece with some legendary oboe solos. Be sure to have mastered dynamic influence while going into notes, that's a key part in this song. Don't forget to breath, you'll need all the air possible for this one.
This is my first composure and if you could give me feedback on what I could do differently next time that would be amazing :)
