It is about the time of the anniversary of the death of my beloved grandfather. As I think I have not done enough deeds for him before he passed away, I would honour him with a contest. I would like you to make a variation on this theme by Schumann. I gave you historical background on the piece in the description of the work.
Edit: Link closed due to the end of the contest
This must only be for piano solo
The variation must be under 4 minutes and longer than 30 seconds.
You may use any form in your composition: sonata, rondo, theme or variations
Winners will have a follow from me and maybe have their piece placed in my upcoming Carnaval suite for solo piano.
The contest will end on 6 January (Happy birthday Scriabin!)
Extended to 10th January
Good job to MadDuck for winning this contest!
I`m working on composing a sonata. i`ve written the first section of the first movement and i need some help and tips on how to develope my theme and make the B section different from the A section. How can i develop the piece from what i already have and what key should i modulate too?
Please check out my new piece, The mole :
My submission to Composr's Competition no.2
A small study on rhythmic changes , feedback would be nice !
so it turns out it was not obvious that you cannot enter pieces into a different contest. You cannot enter a piece into more than one contest. I hade 2 people enter pieces from RSA contests.
Well, after months of going back and forth with this and self-doubt, i decided to take a stpe foward and start learning how to compose. This is my fisrt ever completed piece, for piano, which interestingly is not my instrument (but classical guitar). Still, this is the introduction to hopefully my first work. Please tell me your opinion and advice, as i am "thristy" to learn more! Finally, i hope you enjoy! :))
Hello. I wrote a new song. It's called "Encore". Please check it out. The link is below.
Also, can you let me know if you are able to read and see all pages of the sheet music? For some reason, I can only see the first page. The other pages won't load for me for some reason.
Please leave feedback and comments, much appreciated!
Feedback will be taken into consideration and appreciated. Please do take a look;
Hi. I recently wrote a march for my teacher at school. I am a thirteen year old student who writes music for a living. I'm looking for feedback so that I can get better in my composing and arranging. TYIA.
Hi everybody, I am a singer and am looking for a special piece of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. It is a part of three pieces and it's called
(german): "Wohin habt ihr ihn getragen"
(latin): "Tulerunt Dominum meum"
from the motet Op. 39 No. 3
I couldn't find it on MuseScore yet, so it would be phantastic, if anybody could help. Thank you,
