They are the best!
Hi everyone! I've been lurking around this website for a while but this is my first forum post. I just bought an alto flute, and I was wondering if any of you were composing or arranging solo pieces for the instrument. I can't seem to find much when I search the site so I thought I'd ask here. Right now I'm particularly interested in video game and anime derived pieces - I'm part of my city's Gamer Symphony Orchestra and want to keep in theme - but honestly I'll play anything.
One of my dad's friends gave me a 50 year old flute that used to be his daughter's and it needs a lot of repair. I'm planning to use it to learn how to replace pads, but I can't seem to find the right pads online. Does anyone know how I could get pads for a old Cadet student model?
i made it today and it's my 2nd composition and its called Looking at the stars in the past
Can Someone please check this out
Hi, I'm trying to find the Alto sax part for 'How sweet it is to be loved by you' by Jr. Walker and the All Stars

Can you help?
Mine is my rondo for a sonata collab
Hi! I'm a novice in musical notation and saxophone playing. I've been practicing alto sax for 2.5 years and suddenly I realized that musescore performs different the ligature notation. I was told that when is an arc above 2 or more notes should be played as one of the total length of the notes if they are the same or as an expresion if they are different. What I've seen in musescore is that in partitures played on my computer the arc above the several ocurrences of the same note are played individually. Is that wright or there is a bug in my system ...
I'm using windows 10
I hope I´ve been clear enough, thanks
I will update this weekly
Group is created today! Woohoo! *confetti and stuff falls from sky*
Eek! I forgot to do this yesterday. The group is already dying, so uhh… :o
@Jaybird1 is one of the first truly active members, I told him I would give him a shoutout here, so here you go :P
I haven't updated this in a while, this group is blowing up now...
Holy cow, this group is blowing up. 8 members in 4 days, wow...
Hmm...Starting to die again...
Welp...I was wrong...
I was very wrong, this group is really blowing up, welp
So I had to kick a member (Indy500) for spamming a link to an unsecure website. Sorry, but spam for no purpose is not tolerated.
Okay then, I don't know what to say
Okay then, I started a discussion trying to get to 1k comments, and I thought it would fail. As I am writing this, Lizzapie, Mnmwert, Vash Hartman, and myself are spamming to get it to 1k. It's already at like 150 or something (every 2 minutes I refresh and I have 10+ notifications lol)
So this group is now closing in on 100 members, but we need more discussions!
Wow, 5 more members till 100!
Woohoo! 100 Members!
This group is starting to die
Now the member count has capped out at around 1 member per day, BUT this is a random group, and I didn't really expect it to be this active.
I'm just going to leave this group alone for a while, only update this discussion every once in a while.
I've copied this sheet music from a video on youtube...enjoy!
Hi! I am a flute player with 1-ish years of experience. I was wondering if you guys had any good song recommendations.
I Have a production "Company" in the works we have a website and I am currently working alone on music. I would love to have some partners to assist me in my ventures! You must be active and keep in mind, there is no pay, I am just looking for some people who would like to help me publish saxophone music, and join Cashyman Productions. If you join you will be listed on the website and you will also be added as an admin. Thanks, looking forward to working with you,
Does anyone have any recommendations for a brass group with four trumpets, a tenor trombone and a bass trombone? Doubling up parts for trumpets would be fine if necessary.
Just found this shirt while browsing for band shirts. I lold pretty hard.
