Scores not playing when the play button is pressed (seems to be related to default audio)

Folks,

Many of my older scores that use VideoScores as "Default Audio" no longer play when the user presses the play button. For instance: https://musescore.com/mike_magatagan/scores/213471 .

If I go to "Manage Audio", select the VideoScore and uncheck "Default Audio", the score plays normally.

There does not appear to be anything in error with the underlying VideoScore and this feature was working last month. I'm hoping this can fixed on the web-side as I have many scores that are affected by this issue and there is no user remedy for the listener; disabling the "Default Audio" is not an option when custom audio was used.

Thanks!

Could anyone upload this song? Sheet music for it doesn't exist.

Sonata Rabidus III is a beautiful piece of piano music written by Ben Hantoot in 2010 (I think) . It's the song that made me want to learn piano, unfortunately there is no MIDI or sheet music for it anywhere.

I don't have the skills to do this myself, though I am trying to learn and I will upload a version if I work it out. It's a really nice song, maybe someone here would like it and might have the skills to write it up. You can hear it in high quality here:

I guess I may as well add another song that is lacking sheet music too. Leave like that by SYML. A much more simple and relaxed piece.

I wish there was a list on this site where people could request songs that aren't currently available.

What happened?!

Did MuseScore just run out of money, switch to a new IT staff (idk the technical names of anything development related), or just completely give up on life? It seems as though the site was great before and Songbook was good. Since then everything has gone to crap with poor costumer support/money scams, new daily bugs, and old function-breaking bugs. You can’t even play scores without the musescore app. I hope made the point clear for anyone living under a rock for the past several months, I just want to know if anyone knows the story on this sites downfall?

Johnny B. Goode

in Piano

Does anyone know where I can find sheet music for the piano part of Chuck Berry's Johnny B. Goode? Now to be clear, I don't want to play the guitar part on the piano, nor do I want a basic rhythm track for the piano. I'm trying to find the music for what you can hear the piano play in the song. I've looked all day and found nothing for it, not even from paid sheet music sites. Anyone got any leads? It'd be a huge help

Musescore Dark Mode

Hey, no advertisement intended.

I created a musescore dark theme, that is available at userstyles.org. To aply it you have to get the addon stylish or stylus.

I just wanted to inform you people, that there are ways, to use musescore in a more eyepleasing way at nocturnal hours. (not talking about taste here;) )
Other styles are available too. Also there are diffrent addons to globaly change your browser. Just browse the addon /plugin pages of your webbrowser.

Thought I mention this, because a while ago, I asked myself here if something like that is possible to the developers, while some other people also where interested.

Best regards

Glenn Gould and Bach

Here are two YT videos which might be interesting for friends of Gould and those who want to get to know his understanding of J. S. Bach's music:

https://youtu.be/bP-te0P_rE8?list=RDbP-te0P_rE8

This is a CBC TV production from the 60s in which Gould gives a short but precise introduction to Bach's music and his position as a composer who was

"misunderstood, but certainly not because he was years ahead of his time but generations behind it."

https://youtu.be/exD8bhJP1eo

In this video, Gould gives an (rather monological :) ) interview to the well-known director Bruno Monsaingeon, who made also films with Menuhin etc . Their conversation's topic are Bach's fugues (but not only those from the "Kunst der Fuge", as the title might pretend). Gould briefly analyses and performes e.g. BWV 878 (E major) and BWV 891 (Bb minor).

Enjoy!
