Hey, new guy here!
I don't really know where to ask for advice/criticism for a marching piece like this, and I thought that this was a good place as any to start.
any body wanna play
This is a duet that I wrote a few days ago. I thought it sounded lovely so I would like to share it with all of you!
Congrats on earning your Eagle Scout! It is a high honor! Introduce yourself here. Things like: what was your Eagle Project? What were some of your favorite merit badges? Did you receive your Order of the Arrow award? Have a great time.
A violin is taken to hospital. The doctor examines her and says:
"There's nothing wrong with you. But you broke your bow. How did that happen?"
Violin: "I only remember the thunderous applause for the composer."
Doctor: "Do you remember his name?"
Violin: "No. I think he was on the first page of the sheet music."
any cello players wanna play?
I'm playing in a group of two violins and two violas (including myself) for solo ensemble. We're looking for a piece, and would like to do a modern song (we've looked at Titanium and Rather Be if that gives you an idea of what we want) but haven't been able to find anything that suits our skill level, which is about beginner to intermediate. Does anybody have suggestions or links to sheet music? Thanks!
I'm new here and still not very good with the software, but I saw a discussion about the lack of scores for cello in the musescore community, so here's one of my own adaptations as an exemple:
All you have to do is change any instrument in any sheet you'd like for cello, make sure the clef is right, select that instrument (line) from the begining to the end of the sheet and adjust all the notes at once clicking up and/or low on your keyboard. When you are satisfied with the notes (I like to play it lower, darker, whenever possible), you are set.
You can also change all the other instruments in a symphony (select the instrument line + up/down until you have it harmonized with the cello part) or convert a whole symphony for a cello orchestra.
I thought this post could be useful for newcomers. If this is a repeatitive subject, please moderate and delete. :)
This is a short arrangement of the beautiful hymn "Abide with Me" for string quartet. Hope you enjoy!
Would anyone happen to have any viola and bass duet pieces? Me and my friend are looking for something that is beginner-intermediate*, and the bass part does have something more than quarter notes. I'll also be okay with a Viola/Cello part, as long as it doesnt go below a low E. Thanks!
*We've been playing for about six months, and the hardest we've done is doing Moana songs (like 4 songs in one score). I'm sure we could also figure out a intermediate piece too.
Any cello players hmu
I need two motifs for two cats one is mischievous and the other is curious.
I am doing a string quartet in G major the time signature is 4/4.
Each motifs needs to start and end on G/B/D and be no longer than a bar long.
Any suggestions please
So I only have a few measures of a first movement but I hope to expand this into a full 4 movement string quartet. Thing is, I find it hard to get the combination of being in sonata form and still being interesting when it gets past duets into trios and quartets. I know it should be easier because I have more freedom with a string quartet than with a piano sonata but no, I have always found piano sonatas easier to compose.
Here is my first draft. You can see that I go from a Tutti to the cello playing solo which really brings out the warm sound of the cello. I plan on having the other instruments come back one by one until I reach Tutti again. So here is the link:
i wanna arrange a music sheet for a single track but i can't do this i wanna help me please...
