Nocturne in Eb arrangement, feedback

This is the first time that I have arranged a Chopin piece. Not only that, but it is the first Chopin piece I ever played, so I am very familiar with this piece. I know, I need a countermelody or something along those lines for the first violin. But there is a bit of a problem stopping me from doing this. That is just how close the second violin  gets in pitch to the flute. 

Typically, there is less than an octave of space between the second violin and the flute in any given beat. That doesn't allow for many countermelody notes if I want to keep things relatively consonant. And of course I want to keep things relatively  consonant because of the beautiful melody in the flute. I also don't want to have the countermelody have so many short notes that it becomes the main melody. The flute is playing the main melody and I don't want  to underwhelm that(I already get close to that with some of the forte dynamics). 

There are no slurs in what I have written, mainly because the phrasing of the bass line is super clear just from the notation and, I have no idea where a flutist would take a breath. I can only barely get the first and second octaves to sound right, still doing that C major octave scale exercise and the staccato exercise on my flute. And this is after more than a month of flute practice, so while I technically can play  melodies on the flute at this point, I am limited to legato melodies with short phrasing that aren't super elaborate.

I need some new song ideas

A friend and I are seniors in high school and we have a band. I play alto saxophone and he plays drum set. We have played at basketball games, in school concerts, and background music at various school events. Our next (and possibly last) performance is going to be at our graduation, so obviously we want it to be our best performance yet. Our problem is we cannot seem to find a good song/songs to play. We are looking for something fast, upbeat, and fun. Somewhere between 3 to 15 minutes would be perfect. Some of the songs we have played before include: Shipping Up To Boston, Megalovania, Blue (Da Ba Dee), 300 Violin Orchestra, Harder Better Faster Stronger, Eye Of The Tiger, ect. Hopefully that gives you a good idea of the type of music we enjoy playing.

Any song suggestions would be very helpful. Also, if you have any other places I could post this question please let me know. Thanks in advance for any suggestions anyone gives.

Timbre for con sordino F horn?

Hi!  I seem to recall there used to be a way to specify/choose various muted brass timbres, but I'm having trouble relocating that info: am I misremembering?  (My present need is for an F-horn "con sordino," but I'd appreciate the general knowledge of either how to or where to find such timbre mods.)  Thanks!

This is how all high school Clarinet sections are.

Clarinet 1, 2, and 3 all play as separate sections. The Clarinet 1 section always has all of the try hards on that row. They can never really play together with each other because they are always trying to show that they can play their parts better than all of us sitting behind them. Whenever there is a really technical part (With lots of INK! LOL!) they are the ones who are NEVER afraid to try it, while playing confidently at full volume. Basically these are the only players you can hear out of the entire section for most of the piece. The Clarinet 2 and 3 sections are more unified than the first. We are the players that sit behind and we are the first to be ok with not knowing how to play our part and pulling our clarinets down and letting the firsts handle those difficult parts. The ONLY thing these two rows can do better than first is stay playing together. This is because before even discussing, it is understood that when it comes to the difficult parts we all collectively REST. while they continue. You can never hear us when we are playing by ourselves, and you won't ever hear us playing over the Clarinet 1 row like we are supposed to, because we are always unsure of how our parts are supposed to sound.
