If you want to listen to what I have so far of The Storm, here it is:
It just so happens that I have been getting rain for 3 days straight here in Ohio.
Does anyone know of or have any music arrangements/songs in a Blues style? The band has 3 Trumpets and 1 Tenor Trombone (me!), but Trumpets can double up. Thanks!
I just started playing alto sax last week for a summer program and I think all in all it’s an easy instrument to start off on (maybe because I have been playing clarinet for 3 years). But I am still struggling with holding it. It’s very heavy and sometimes my thumb is swollen from holding it. My friend who has been playing alto sax for 4 years says my sax is bigger than hers. I’m sure its alto because my music teacher gave it to me and I can’t switch it out for a different one. Does anyone have any tips on how to hold the sax? Thxxx and I appreciate it- Flutinetist ^~^
Hey guys there this song I’ve been listening to and I love it and I was wondering if anyone can make it for a string quartet (2 violins, one viola, and one cello) it’s called baba yetu.
Does any one have Glory of Love - Peter Cetera for a string quartet? (Violin x2 Cello Viola) Thanks
Love for those gone ahead...
Any advice? I'd like to know more about my transitions, and maybe how to get a better soundfont for the tremolos. Thanks!
Second movement of The raven suite..
I have auditions coming up and I need a few songs that I can look into to start playing. Sophisticated Lady is the current piece I'm playing, but I'm curious as to what other classic jazz songs feature the bari sax.

Hi! I'm excited to see all these viola players gathered in one group. It's so hard to find a good spot like this because violas are so underrated. Anyways, I'm an aspiring viola player who needs a LOT of practice, and I was wondering if any of the more experienced players could recommend some music that might be good for someone playing at a 6th-8th grade level. I've only been playing for 3 years, so I think that would be a good area for me. Thanks!
I decided to write a piece with 3 completely random songs to challenge myself. I believe it will help me in the future when I write professionally and need to transition between movements.
Please critique this piece! Or at least some feedback (thoughts, opinions, requests) would be nice.
If you stick around for updates, expect a big run after where Moonlight Sonata left off. It will help to transition back into Hymn of Acxiom.
- The harp part is a sound effect, not an actual part to be played
- All diddled phrases are to be played as normal rolls
- I will update sticking soon
- This piece will eventually come full circle and will end with the ending of the first unoriginal piece
- I changed all the settings so the sheet music would look as close to Sibelius as possible, but they don't go through well online
- I used two soundfonts
- Hymn to Acxiom
- La Marseillaise (French National Anthem, only minor section)
- The second half of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata mvmt. 3
