It seems one of the most common themes in this thread are wind arrangers looking to collab with percussion arrangers. Let's get you hooked up!
Anyone looking to collaborate with other users to write battery or front ensemble parts, I suggest that you join the official Marching Percussion group and post a request in this discussion there - https://musescore.com/groups/4833679/discuss/4845310
I wanted to post a quick note and to say hello. I have recently joined the MuseScore team and you will certainly see me around jumping into discussions here and there and answering any questions you guys might have.
I wanted to make a specific point of dropping in this group and getting to know you guys and seeing how I might be able to support and see if we can spread the word to other drum corps fans and make this group the top resource out there for all things drum corps.
I've been a drum corps fan since I was a kid. I went to my first show when I was 12 and was instantly hooked. I was lucky enough to go on to march, even though my main instrument is bassoon. I first auditioned for SCV on bari, but didn't make the line. I kept at it, auditioned again and again until I finally made Blue Devils hornline and then later spent a couple years as drum major for the corps. After aging out, I went on to work with Crossmen and Cadets, and remain a fan until this day.
I am excited about being a part of the MuseScore community and look forward to becoming more actively involved (especially in the drum corps and marching music communities!!). I would love to hear your thoughts or ideas on how MuseScore could become the ideal resource for drum corps fans and the top community for marching music.
If you haven't seen this, MuseScore is sponsoring an arrangement contest and pure battery / percussion arrangements are eligible.
Welcome to the MuseScore Official Marching Percussion Group (the very first MuseScore official group).
The purpose of this group is to not only share great sheet music, but for sharing knowledge, information and discussion about ANYTHING related to marching percussion.
ALL styles are welcome, in fact, the more the better - DCI, WGI, HBCU, Big 10, High School, Marching Band, Sports Drumlines, Military & Traditional, Pipe drumming, anything goes.
In addition to the general MuseScore Community Guidelines, there is only one other rule here - criticism is not only welcome, but encouraged, but keep in mind it is meant to help build each other up, not tear anyone down. Give advice how you'd wish to receive.
i recently made an arrangement from ravels piano trio and im curious of what you guys think of it leave a like and add comments of what you would do. its not done yet and i need a lot of battery parts
I would love some assistance on ideas, theme, and overall just making an amazing unique show.
Ive already contacted other users to make shows, but I decided to see if any one is up to the task!
Some selections of songs I had in mind(Of course not all of them):
Ride the Lightning - Metallica
Rooster - Alice in Chains
Hey Jude - The Beatles (Trumpet screaming ideas?)
Mama, I'm comin' home - Ozzy
Paper Cut - Alex Shapiro
The Cave You Fear - Michael Markowski
Ride - Sam R. Hazo
Mars - Gustav Holst (SCV 12)
Piano Concerto Mvt. 4 - John Corigliano (Pr 06 and SCV 2015 Closer)
Medea - Bartok (Star of Indiana 93 or Crown 16)
Canyon - Phillip Glass (SCV 1999 and Warm Up)
One - Metallica
Dreams 3 (Visions) - Bertrand Moren (Crown 2012 Closer)
I still have no theme set in stone yet. I'm also not that great at writing battery.
I'm good with Pit percussion, Brass, and Electronic sounds.

I have arranged a couple of pieces for a DBC style show based on Les Miserables. It is all a work in progress, but I would love critique and collaboration. I definitely need percussion parts. Feel free to look and let me know if you want to work on it.

There are GoPro cams online of the run-throughs of Snare, Tenor, Bass 3, Bass 5 and 2 Marimbas on YouTube, but i don't know how to put heard drum rhythms onto paper so to speak.
If anybody wants to help, leave a comment of any sections/instruments you'd be willing to do
Hi! I'm Jack and the title says it all. I'm primarily looking for a DCI-style of writer to work with, but I'd be more than willing to work on marching band pieces as well! A drumline writer and an experienced brass writer would be much appreciated.
