Wouldn't that be useful, and more importantly, why isn't this a thing yet?
Did MuseScore just run out of money, switch to a new IT staff (idk the technical names of anything development related), or just completely give up on life? It seems as though the site was great before and Songbook was good. Since then everything has gone to crap with poor costumer support/money scams*, new daily bugs, and old function-breaking bugs. You can’t even play scores without the musescore app. I hope made the point clear for anyone living under a rock for the past several months, I just want to know if anyone knows the story on this site's downfall?
Overall the issues with bugs in the website and app have been a major turnoff for me and the fellow users I know irl and got involved in MuseScore in the first place.
EDIT: *Money scams- too strong of a phase, my apologies. I was referring to the trouble cancelling a free trail and the subsequent $49.99 charge for an unwanted annual membership.
I read the online handbook about drag-and-drop for images onto sheet music, but whenever I try, I can't. The photos are JPG or PNG, I made sure of it when I culled and processed my photos. Is this another Musescore 3 bug or is it just not implemented yet?
Soon, I will be turning 18 and I will leave this group (although you will still see me hanging around actively on the other discussion groups), I just wanted to thank everyone who has been active in the Young Composer Group. Also, the admins of course, for keeping this great place running. :)
This group has meant a lot to me, as I had a place to start and not feel any pressure in screwing up. And, to be honest my pieces back then were just as bad as you would imagine a self taught teenager would be. Well, a lot has changed, so please don't go comment in my Op. 2 or something saying how good the piece is (unless you think it's fun to tease me)... :P
One of my first scores I posted here was my waltz Op.13, and by coincidence or rather serendipity, the score just reached over 1000 views a few weeks ago, so, I thought I'll end it where it all started. So, in commemoration of 1k views I have updated the waltz and of course feel free to write me a comment. https://musescore.com/colorsofsound1/scores/5184280
This is it, my journey of being a self-taught teen has ended. I am stepping into the shoes of an adult composer, and that journey is just getting started.
See you around!
Here are two YT videos which might be interesting for friends of Gould and those who want to get to know his understanding of J. S. Bach's music:
This is a CBC TV production from the 60s in which Gould gives a short but precise introduction to Bach's music and his position as a composer who was
"misunderstood, but certainly not because he was years ahead of his time but generations behind it."
In this video, Gould gives an (rather monological :) ) interview to the well-known director Bruno Monsaingeon, who made also films with Menuhin etc . Their conversation's topic are Bach's fugues (but not only those from the "Kunst der Fuge", as the title might pretend). Gould briefly analyses and performes e.g. BWV 878 (E major) and BWV 891 (Bb minor).
when I uploaded my youtube video and enabled the video audio, the youtube video was the only thing that played, and my score was silent. pls help
Could someone please do Kaichou wa Maid sama My Secret. Is is the theme song for the show.
I just noticed a few minutes ago that some users had their profile pictures bordered with black and showing the pic in it's entirety rather than having it filled within the profile picture circle. Does anyone know anything about this or has anyone seen the same thing as I did?
I downloaded the app on my smartphone (android version 4.2.2) but unfortunately the scores do not open up and I only see a blank page. However i can listen to the score and choose other settings since the blue bars appear. I would truly appreciate your help.
Thank you in advance
When I open MuseScore, my collections are empty. How do I restore them?
Our latest update brought the correction of network requests and the freezes of UI, as well as the long-awaited export to PDF by parts.
1. Opening scores.
If you encounter problems in this release, please share details so that we quickly fix the problem.
Problem 1: paragraph breaks are removed, so the resulting format looks horrible.
Problem 2: trying to re-edit a message fails, with the message content truncated.
Example of an edit failure (Problem 2). When I try to edit my reply in this thread:
the message content is truncated after the text " Je pense que Mark fait référence "...
Just noticed that the whitespace (Carriage control and paragraph separation) is being removed from all descriptions add to MuseScore.com scores making formatted descriptions appear as a monolithic blob
Once you had signed in on your account in Musescore 2 you could easily upload your scores to the website without re-entering username and password. In Musescore 3 this feature disappeared. I would really like it back. Could that be done? Adrie
Why must I write every time my email and my password when I try to save a new score online? It should be saved once only (like in the previous versione MuseScore 2) so that I don't need to digit it again and again.

Back when the bug existed on the website where you could follow yourself, I tried it out to see if it worked. It did. So the next day I went to unfollow myself but the bug had been fixed. So for quite a few months Ive been following myself. Can you make me unfollow myself?
