The Virtuoso Piano Discussion-Contest! (First Attempt in Hosting a Contest)

You may recognize this post if you joined the Get Your Music Heard! group. I've been searching for a good piano solo song that shows a degree of virtuoso, intellect and emotion, for quite some time now, and I'm wondering whether the members of this group has got what it takes to impress me! Each week I will set a particular style to follow (that is, to compose), and the style of piece allowed will change every week. Here is a guideline for some simple rules to follow:

1. Instrument: Piano Solo only
2. Duration of piece: Maximum of 7 minutes
3. Style of piece that is allowed this week: Impressionistic and/or Etude
4. Only one piece per person per style
5. How to leave the comment:
Example -> Etude:

Example -> Challenge accepted: (add link)

The submitted piece must be at the same difficulty and/or harder than these pieces mentioned:

1. "Prelude to the Water Sprites" from Prelude to the Water Sprites/The Water Sprites Allure and Curse by The Curious Guy:

2. "Splashes" from Reflections: A Suite of Picturesque Experiences by Skylighter

3. "Prelude in G# minor" by trngl

4."Etude in B major" by JustisB

5. "Paraphrase on Carol of the Bells" by yesverymuch

CHALLENGE(S) OF THE WEEK:
a) Do an Impressionist music representing the sea that is harder and/or equal to Prince781's At Sea -> link: https://musescore.com/prince781/at-sea-wip

b) Do a etude for the left hand only

I will personally rate them from a scale of 1-5. I rarely give a 1, but it's also very hard to earn a 4.5 to 5. The winner is the one with the highest rating in the week, and those with a score of 4.6 and above will be featured in the following week's contest and may possibly judge the next style's contest.  I hope you join, and I look forward to listen!

My first piano composition on which I added a little improvisation part. This is my first score; I made it to try and test the software. I promise you I will post more difficult scores very soon :-)
This piece is very hard to play respecting the keys, so you are allowed to play some notes in G clef with your left hand.

For the piano virtuoso writers! I need help finishing this project

I'm currently doing a collection of pieces in all 24 keys, for piano solo. I need help completing the set, so I'd appreciate it if you'd help out composing a short (less than or around 4 minutes) in G# minor (for now). The only criteria it must fulfill in order for it to be considered in the project is that the style of the piece must be different from the rest. Example: the piece in F major is written in a waltz, the one in Eb major is written 4/4 against 3/4, C minor has a Prokofiev (I think) feel to it, F minor is written in jazz, etc. Also, it must show some form of virtuoso/impressionism (whichever you are aiming for). I am interested in the dances forms (tango, marzuka, minuet, sarabande...), but anything goes for now. Credits will be given for the piece if it makes it in, as well as a favourite and a follow, very well deserving.

Here's the piece: https://musescore.com/user/151230/scores/5162921

PS: I might reject some pieces if I find the piece unsuitable for the project, I'll also include critique/reasons for the said decision. Love to hear from you guys!

Great Piano Group for Composition Competitions!

There are many good ones out there...
But they do not have competitions very often.
You have constraints and rules you have to follow. Sometimes it is as easy as writing a dissonant Minuet, sometimes it might be as challenging (for some people) as writing a Fugue. So come on! Enter your first competition! The winner (whoever recieves the most votes) will be moderator/co administer to the group until the winner of the second competition wins! Hurry! Deadline is August 8!
