Bonjour la Famille,
Je suis un nouveau dans ce groupe. j'aimerais avoir quelques briefings sur ce groupe. Questions de m'adapter au groupe...
Bonjour la Famille,
I need new strings on my guitar unfortunately...😭
Hey guys, I have been playing for a little less than a year now on an acoustic guitar and haven't been taught by a teacher. I have been attempting to teach myself and am wondering about how frequent I need to change strings. Also is their any tips on cleaning my guitar/ take caring of it after I play? Thanks for the help.
I'm trying to do an arrangement of Goldfinger for 5 classical guitars. I'm finding it quite difficult and i'm not sure the piece is suited. What does everyone else think?
i'm trying to get a classical guitar society off the ground in south london, and find it all a bit slow.
We're doing a launch with Georgina Whitehead and a full prog from others wish me luck. i'm gonna need it!
p.s it's on 27th November at the Priory Arms Stockwell london.
I don't actually play guitar, but I assume most people in this group do.
Can anyone who plays guitar tell me whether this is possible to be played on guitar, or not, or only for 'extreme experts'.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
be trying out "shallow shadows" live in room above pub on 27th nov 2011
to mic or not ?
I abhor the use of "c" for the RH "q" finger. "q" is for quattro, pequen~o or men~ique, but the problem with "c" is ambiguity. I need to customize the fingering palette provided in musescore:
loco, I II III IV etc. for positions
timaq for RH fingering
I don't care who else likes it, but that's what I have
been using, and will continue to use.
However, although I won't use it myself, EADGB, which
Villa Lobos used, is superior for string indications
because there are too many numbers in guitar
notation already. When you become used to it,
it is quicker to read with the string letter.
I don't want to use this either, but it should be
available for anyone who might want to put
out a historical bilingual edition. Back in the
day, RH fingering was in the language of
the text, so this was for bilingual editions:
x or +, . .. ... for RH
A very popular piano method of the 19th century
used X1234 instead of 12345 for fingering.
Also, I hope that it is possible to do tab with
notation with nothing but numbers on the
tab, no stems, beams, ties, or slurs, because
they are just clutter when the notes are
I have not even started using musescore,
but it looks like a good prospect as long
as I can customize it.
Also, does the copyright notice appear
in the MIDI output? It should. LilyPond
doesn't do that, last I checked. For shame.
IAC, this is how I start. Can I customize or
not? I don't want to ask developers for features
which already exist.

How many subscribers share my belief that the sound font for classical guitar which comes with the new version of Musescore is terrible - very harsh and percussive. I wish Musescore would re-instate the old version sound font which, to my mind, was perfectly acceptable.
Some classical guitar forums are around , but include luthiers etc...[not in itself a bad thing]
It would be nice to get more people on this one so they can play their compositions in my club.
i could do a flyer but their is no attachment facility!
What about strings/which guitar/trying to be too ambitious in composition?????
Don't be shy!
Or am i Robinson-i'm the only opinionated person-Crusoe?
