Real Beginner Poet and Lyricist/Guitarist Wanting to Write Their Own Piece

I've been writing poetry for nearly 30 years, lyrics for about 5, normally at the behest of the choir leader at church.  I have 2 poems I'd love to set to music, but I can't work out which instruments would be best for them.  As they are both tied into the ocean, I'd love to create a sound to reflect that, with the main melody layered on top.

I'm a guitarist so wrtiting music notation doesn't come naturally to me, I found a couple of guitar friendly notation programs so that's helped

Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted

I was thinking...

I have been making songs on GarageBand, and I wanna post them to my YouTube channel, but I’m too shy to do it. I didn’t want to be embarrassed by anyone. I have 12 songs. I made my own 3, I made 8 from video games, and 1 I made my own but I deleted it.
If anyone has any ideas on making new songs, feel free to text me back.

What's one thing people think is funny, but you hate it.

You know when people jab you in the ribs really hard? Sometimes, it scares me so much and it hurts that my body seems to think I'm going to die so it screams. They think its funny and laugh like "HAR HAR HAR HHUUHUHUHUH!!!" I hate it 1. It draws too much attention to myself. 2. It hurts and I might get a heart attack from it sometimes. 3. They won't stop.... 4. Sometimes they do it at the worst times. I'm just walkin down the hall and they do it to me right in front of my crush. That was ruff

Variations on a Theme for Piano (Feedback Super Duper Appreciated)

Heyo, so this is basically my first fully-fledged solo piano composition. It's a set of variations  that I was hoping to enter into a competition soon. I should note that I have minimal piano experience myself, so if anyone notices a part that is literally unplayable/incredibly unconventional, I would super duper appreciate if you could point that out to me. All feedback is appreciated--thank y'all so much!

Welcome to Randomly Screwing Around!

This is just an introduction for new people :P

Fun fact!! This group holds the world record for most discussions in a single public musescore group, along with being the first group on musescore to ever reach 3K discussions. :P (if you find another public musescore group with more discussions...lemme know...though I hope you don't xD)

We generally refer to this group as 'RSA' (like the group icon) both inside and outside of this group.

If you haven't read the group description yet, I strongly suggest you do so (it answers a LOT of the questions that new members tend to have in here :P)

We also hold fun little contests here every once in a while. They are designed so they do not take a long time to do, which means that everyone can participate :D
Winners are posted in RSA's Hall of Fame:
And read all the links in there too :P
Especially the history of this group so you get our inside jokes (at least some of them) -
And this, which details what types of discussions are preferred and which ones will get deleted -
(I figured I'd make a discussion for this cause some people don't think of reading the rules on the right side of this page - so why not make a discussion and pin it so it appears smack dab in the middle where people would look xD)

Hope you have fun! :D
