User experience improvement

Hi,

your app-version of musescore is awesome. But there are two small features that are missing which would be such a huge user experience improvement:

1. Remembering the zoom level
Things like tempo and muting instruments are saved, but not the zoom level. It really sucks to zoom in a few times on every small practice session.

2. Prescrolling the notes
When all notes displayed are played, the next pages appears. But in that moment you don't know what to play, because you simply can't see it. You can't play a piece completely without interruptions. Just scroll a bit when you are half way trough the notes currently displayed or something like that.

If these two things get implemented, i'll be premium member for years... guaranteed! :)

Thanks for listening and keep up the great work.

Tolkien Trailer!

So for those of you who know literally anything about me, you will know that I have.....a slight obsession with the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. Fox Searchlight is making a movie on the life of this amazing author, and they just released another trailer. So, I figured I'd share it with you. :D

MuseScore 3 crashed after adding MuseScore Drumline!

I had a perfectly good MuseScore 3 working program, after upgrading to the latest version 3.0.5. There was a link to download MuseScore Drumline, which I clicked and installed the extension. Now I can't get MuseScore to load at all!

I've re-downloaded it but Windows 10 refuses to open it. All I get is increased CPU and Memory usage and eventually I have to close the unopened app.

Any suggestions?

- In case of a tie, voting will continue until the tie is broken
- The winner will become an administrator of the Piano Compositions group!

Issues converting PDF with Audiveris

Hi everybody,

I got 11 pieces to prepare for next week and I'm too slow reading *PANIC*
I found about Audiveris https://musescore.com/import !
worked fine the first pdf but then kept the second pdf in queue since yesterday without any result, all scores have good quality, contrast an not so complex!

Is there a way to take out the music out of queue so I can retry for example?

Can I do the computing with my machine instead of queue it somewhere?
and/or
Did somebody tried to install Audiveris from the Github repo?
I have a Mac and before installing a virtual machines for running Windows so I can install it I wanted to make sure it works etc!

Thank you for any tips or advices :D

How to have different timings in the left and right hands

Hello,

I'm trying to transcribe a measure in Chopin's Op 64 No 1 Waltz.  The timing for the piece is 3/4, however there is a measure that has 4 quarter notes in the right hand.  I've been able to get MuseScore to show it by creating a custom tempo for that measure, but there is an invisiable rest, and I can't get the spacing right in the left hand.

See the link below for a picture.

Thank you your help!

Embedded iframe with YouTube recording fails in some web browsers

This is a problem which has existed for quite a while, and it would be good to sort it out definitively.

Many of us use the "Share" option to embed an HTML "iframe" of the MuseScore player in our own website. It's really useful for making practice files for choral societies and church choirs.

With a MuseScore file that creates its own playback, it usually doesn't matter which web browser you use: it plays normally.  But if the score is sync'd to a performance recording on YouTube as the default sound source, then the playback doesn't work on all web browsers.

Here is the result of a test of various browsers which I ran today:
-  Chrome 73.0.3683.75  = broken
-  Edge 42.17134.1.0 = broken
-  Firefox 65.0.2 = plays ok
-  Internet Explorer 11.648.17134.0 = plays ok
-  Opera 58.0.3135.107 = plays ok
-  Vivaldi 2.3.1440.60 = plays ok

You can run the test yourself on my HTML page, where the SATB player is linked to a YouTube performance by Birmingham Conservatoire Chamber Choir:

CC#3: Electro

Starting March 1, we will be accepting entries for CC#3.  The rules of this contest are simple: Compose an original EDM song.  The following is an example of EDM on musescore: https://musescore.com/nobleewe/scores/5322068

EDM stands for Electronic Dance Music and is characterized by synthesizers, repetitious chords and melodies, and a usually a drop of some sort.

You have until the end of March to post the link to your score in this discussion.  To make things easier for us, please put "CC#3" in your title and add it to this group.

See you then!

I like water

water is the one compound that breaks the law of both physics and chemistry, water expands when it freezes, hot water freezes faster than cold water, the molecule H20 is the 2nd most common molecule found in the universe, the water we have in our body probs been in the dinosaurs b4, water droplets can move up a vertical surface if pulled by other water droplets, water entered our planet millions of years after our planet was formed//////

bye bye to our boys (for now)

in BTS

if you didn't already know, where have you been? bts will be going on two year hiatus after their next album. why? they will be serving in the military. i, personally, am proud of them for making this decision. i will miss them, but its for the honor of their country. some people are angry, but imagine if they didn't go. they would be hated on and disrespected by other fandoms (probably). its an honor for them to serve and if they missed this opportunity then shame would be put on them all. yes, they were given the opportunity to opt out of it, but they chose to serve their nation. this shows how loyal and respectful they are.  however, serving in the military doesn't necessarily mean they will automatically be out on the battlefield on the verge on death, this just means they will be put in training.
recently, bts has renewed their contract with bighit and will be writing and producing more music even after they come back from the military. nothing is separating us from our babes just yet.
bts are loving, kind, respectful, and such amazing young people. their fanbase has grown so much since 2013 and looking back, they have worked so hard and have given us so much love we can never imagine.
being a multi-stan of many groups, i will just have to listen to them and old bts albums when they come back. i'm not saying this in a bad/bitter way, i just will miss them (its not like i've said that a million times already...)
i know they'll never see this, but army's, please, continue to send love to them and care for them.
fighting!
