Upload to YouTube fails.

I posted this problem on other MuseScore forums, but was advised by jeetee that I should have posted here.

A few days ago, I uploaded my first score to YouTube. There were some problems with the audio, which appeared to have been attached to the end of the video, so I deleted it for future reposting. Since I can only upload once per day, I waited until the next day (Thursday Dec.13) to upload again. This time I got an email from MuseScore advising me that the upload was successful, but when I went to view it on YouTube, it said that my channel was empty and there were no scores in it.

I was hoping that someone could determine what happened. My name is Charles Bond and my MuseScore handle is 'chasbo'. The score is named "Crammin'",

This is the third forum I've posted to, so if it's the wrong one, would someone please advise me where to try next?

Score Navigation Online Fails On Some Scores

I'm on Firefox on Windows 10, and now the pause button doesn't work while a score is playing. I can click on measures and the "pink block" jumps to where I click (and the "time elapsed" stops at where I clicked), but the audio does not respect that and continues on regardless. The reset ("|<") button is also non-functional in the same fashion. The only way I can stop or otherwise interrupt the audio is when the piece finishes playing or when I refresh. The problem persists regardless of audio source. In fact, on affected scores, the Synthesizer audio source also refuses to provide sound.

UPDATE: I've found that scores not for solo instruments still function normally (e.g. , ). Scores like , , and (the last 2 are for solo non-piano yet bring up the piano keyboard as an option) are affected.

No audio. Upload corrupted.

So. I tried uploading my Fall of Sanctum-III
But apparently half of whom ever tries to listen to it, can't hear a thing. Me included. Yes. I could go get "PRO" to use your nifty little manually editable Audio source-feature, but this shouldn't be the only solution to this. (Also in case one might not have the financial ressources to do this...)

I'd happily provide any information you might need about the containments of the score, convertions so on and so forth. Just please fix it -it's really annoying.

Composer / Arranger / Performer Connections

I have an idea for something that can be done at some level just with the existing Groups facility, but I thought I'd get some feedback on whether it makes sense to have more structural support on the site.  Or maybe you can just point me to where this is already happening :-)

The idea is this: there are composers and arrangers who are writing music they want to hear performed by real ensembles, and there are ensembles out there looking for new music to perform.  Why not create a mechanism to connect them?

Obviously, there is a lot of music on this site for people to download and try to play, but not all of it is actually designed for performance.  The instrumentation often doesn't match that of any common ensemble formats, parts are not generated or edited to print reasonably, etc.  That's not a bad thing, but it does make this music not that well suited for ensembles looking for print-ready music.  So just finding the music actually designed for live performance is a challenge.

Also, there is no straightforward way to search the site for music of a particular ensemble type (string quartet, jazz big band, SATB choir, etc).  I mean, if I want string quartet music, I can filter on scores of 4 instruments that include violin, viola, and cello, and that does OK, but this isn't really a viable way to search for other common ensemble formats.  I see on the left sidebar of the Community page there is "Orchestra" and "Band" under "Styles and Categories", but that's about it.  If I want brass quintet, the best I can do is try to find a matching a group using the site search facility.  But maybe there aren't any good matches, or there is a group but it mostly dead, or there are multiple competing groups.  And in any case, many of the scores do not have formatted parts available, so they really aren't suited for musicians looking for music to perform.

So what I'm wanting to see is something like a set of moderated groups for specific ensemble formats, organized on the left sidebar of the Community page in the same way we have Styles & Categories.  Moderation would be to ensure that music added to the group actually fits the ensemble format and has print-ready parts.  I can certainly just create some groups and hope for the best, but I do think this sort of site support would be helpful.

My goal is to provide a place for ensemble musical directors (I'm one of those!) to find suitable music more easily, and also provide ways for the creators on this site (I'm one of those, too!) to get their music performed.  Hopefully, also some incentive for people to start thinking along those lines and going out of their way to write for these types of ensembles.

Player on the Score page. How do you use it?

Hi, everyone!

I have a question for you about a player on a Score page. Please, tell me how do you use it? What functions are important to you? For example, “When I learn a new score, I open it and turn off all the extra parts. Then I change the tempo of playback depending on the complexity of the notes section. And I often use the loop.”

I will be very very grateful for your stories!

Verknüpfte Notenzeilen

Guten Abend,

Maximum size for uploads?

Hi everyone,

So I have a collection of pieces that recently hit 167 pages, 615 KB. I tried updating it (It's an existing score) and it seemed to be stuck at the loading screen. It also disappeared from my spotlight pieces and when I tried accessing it musescore says that the page doesn't exist. So I am wondering now if there's a size limit on the biggest file we can upload.

Here's the score:

MuseScore version in the information about each score

I believe we need a way to show which MuseScore version the scores on have been made (last saved and rendered) with.

It should show in the same place as the duration, key signature, instrumentation, number of pages, etc. are listed. And for all scores, not jist those uploaded after this gets implemented, With 3.0 coming up this becomes even more important. It should take the information from the scores (the mscx inside the mscz) directly, at least (here for 3.0) ` Program Version: 3.0.0`, better also `Program Revision: 2b25396` or (for 1.x) `Program Version: 1.2` and also `Program Revision: 5470`.
