MuseScore's Biggest Problem

in Piano

Musescore in a (not so recent) update stated that downloading and Printing scores is not only a Pro feature. According to their post, they explain that, " Musescore firmly believes in the rights of creators," and that you need to buy Pro to download it.

But, what they try to hide, is that people need to buy MuseScore Pro just to upload more than 10 Scores! It's so backward! You need Pro to download a Score, you need Pro to upload more. That sounds less like Creator Rights and more like a money grab.

What I admired about MuseScore was that it was one of the few popular Sheet Music places for people to get free music.

I may be sounding cheap for saying this, but the way MuseScore presents this doesn't make them sound much better.

Good music ideas for composing?

Hi. New to musescore and wanted to share good music/piece/or song ideas for composing. I'm a beginner, so I'm not very good. But I've always wanted to play Ms. Pac Man maze madness music on piano... as it's very catchy. Ha ha. If anyone wants to compose this soundtrack, I mean that'd be really neat. Also if you have any other ideas for composing music that you think should be on musescore, go ahead and comment. Thanks. Sorry if this discussion topic already exists. Link below for Ms. Pac man maze madness extended playlist on youtube. lol.

Reverie (original)

in Piano

I’ve been playing/listening to a lot of Grieg’s lyric pieces recently, and one of my favorites is “Phantom” from opus 62 - I just love the texture and mood of the piece. Last week, I sat down at the piano and the the first lines of a new piece came to mind... so this is an original, coming from the feeling Grieg’s “Phantom” gave me. I hope you enjoy it; feedback always welcomed.
