A bit impossible
Unless you're insane
Hello everyone. I know no one has really used this group but I just wanted to talk a little about something odd that's been occurring recently. It seems that Disney/Lucasfilm has been cracking down big time on people using copyrighted music specifically from Star Wars. I just had an arrangement of the "Imperial March in a Major Key" taken down, and I noticed that one of my favorite Star Wars horn quartets on MuseScore was copyright struck and removed from the user Klevdogk's page. 4Horns' arrangement of "Jedi Steps and Finale" from The Force Awakens is gone too. In fact, if you search "Star Wars" on MuseScore, just about all that comes up is music from Rogue One, the only Star Wars movie that didn't have its music written by John Williams. Oddly enough, all arrangements of John Williams' other compositions, such as my horn quartet arrangement of Superman and Raider's March, are completely intact. I find this situation to be totally bizarre. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
this is the best form of my mary had a little lamb parody (it sounds dumb, but it actually sis one of my better pieces)
Check it out!
So, you know how I have been working on the 50 follower special composition right? Well, I am 2/3 of the way through it and even include a short bit of canon in the composition. But after this canonic moment, I can't seem to make further progress. I know that I want to go back to G major by means of a plagal cadence(which would require me to substitute C major for C#°) and that I want to end the piece with a plagal cadence.
I have been having this composers block for about a week now. I usually embrace it and just move on to composing something else, but this is a 50 follower special composition that I have been working on.
Hello! I am a new horn player switching from alto sax does anyone have any advice?
I've uploaded a couple of scores for brass quartets over the last few months or so and I was hoping somebody with more experience and expertise might be willing to give them a quick a once over? The scores are:
'Something of nautical empires' -
'Learning to get up again' -
I am looking for loud fun stand tunes for our low brass. We play loud and proud. obnoxiously loud just like brass is supposed to. If yall know of any loud exciting stand tunes for low brass I would appreciate it. Have a nice day
Did any of y'all create horrible pieces of music the first time you joined Musescore?

Hello! Mark and I have finalized the brass parts for the ballad of our original show, 2 + 2 = 5. The ballad we've chosen is The Hymn of Acxiom by Vienna Teng, as we believe it fits the theme of the show - George Orwell's "1984" - perfectly.
If you are unfamiliar with the project, here is a quick summary:
Mark and I plan to have as many of you submit recordings of yourselves playing through the show as we can. We will then compile the recordings into one large file, and place it over virtual drill that Mark is writing, to create a virtual drum corps of sorts. If you'd like to record, here's all the info you'll need!
You can play through as many parts as you'd like. In fact, we would much appreciate it if you did! (For example, if you play the trumpet, it will be better for the end result if you record and submit all three trumpet parts, rather than just doing one) Of course, you don't have to do this! Mark and I will be listening through each recording of the trumpet soloist's part, and picking the one we think would best benefit the overall recording.
We would prefer if you submit one large (3-ish minute) recording, but if you find it difficult to play through the part(s) in one sitting, please refer to the recording guide below!

3.) Recording Guide
Recording One: Beginning to Letter D
Recording Two: Letter D to Letter F (Trumpets, include two measure pick-up)
Recording Three: Letter F to Letter I
Recording Four: Letter I to the end
Again, we'd much prefer your recording be from the beginning to the end, to simplify our own work, but we decided to include this in case some need the breaks in between. Trumpets obviously don't need a recording one/four, as they don't play at these points. Please play the part at the exact tempo that's listed. This can easily be done by playing along with the recording (preferably while wearing a headset!).
If you have recorded the entirety of the ballad at once, submit an MP3/MP4 file with this name as the format:
If you used the segmented guide above, use this format:
Send submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have any questions, ask them below! Thanks everyone!

I am a beginner French horn and I am currently renting one from my school. The one I am renting is very beat up and scratched and I would like to get some suggestions for French horns in the range of 1k - 3k USD.

Hey guys, I'm a trumpet player who was also a self-taught horn player for a year. I haven't played in a while but I'm thinking of picking it up again. I know most beginners start off with a single F horn, and that's the route I plan on taking. For those of you who have switched from single to double F/Bb horn, was it difficult in terms of learning the new fingerings? I know they are very different, does anyone have any way to learn the new fingerings quickly? Thanks!
it cuts out after 2 beats come on musescore
