Should I quit music?

hey there, im drsooz. im what i would proclaim to be uncreative and untalented. i've been trying this music thing for a long time now, but i'm just now getting anywhere. im horrible at playing instruments and i seem to be horrible at creating music (i mean seriously - just look at what ive created. it sucks). ive been trying so hard at it for so long but im not getting anywhere, and faced with the works of the greats such as rachmaninoff, tchaikovsky, and others it feels like anything i write or play is pointless. should i stop this whole musical charade? its not going to ever benefit me. im just not talented enough. i've realized that ill never have the performance or composition ability of those around me

What Are Your Pet Peeves?

I'm a human (Or am I, LOL), and I get ticked off sometimes. Especially when someone does something, and I just can't take it. What are some of your pet peeves? For example, I hate it when like, people have like a jumbo kit kat or something, and instead of splitting with the people they have to share it with, they take a big bite from the top. Like, Kit Kats are meant to be split! I don't get it. It just ticks me off, because I can't eat it. What are y'all pet peeves?

Self-introduction!!!

Hi everyone!

Since this group is about learning composition from each other, I feel that it would be great if y'all could introduce yourselves in this group so that we could better learn from each other!

Probably just mention your composition experience/why and what (and how) you compose/instruments you play/hobbies/basically anything

So i'll start...

I recently graduated from high school last year, and I've been composing since around 12 yo. I started composition seriously in high school during my 'A' level music studies. I normally compose in the classical genre, ranging from Baroque to Modern styles, and I'm still in the pursuit to find my distinct aesthetic. Also I play the piano, and clarinet (self-taught), and own a couple of other instruments (including toy instruments) :)

(since i'm admin i shall pin this thread haha)
