Join the Ensemble!
Hello everyone! We were recently thinking about a collaboration we could do here, on Musescore. We were thinking we could gather a bunch of musicians who play instruments other than than piano (we'll also need one pianist) to perform a sort of group piece for a chamber ensemble. We'll also need someone who has a video editor that can combine multiple solo performances and make one group video. We are still thinking about what to do with the video.
1. We're not looking for any specific skill level, you just need to have some experience.
2. We unfortunately can only take at most three players for each instrument, so we don't too many of the same one.
I think this should be a fairly fun project, and we're accepting volunteers now! Please reply to this discussion if you want to participate or if you have any questions. :)

Can anyone give me any kind of feedback/advice/opinion on this etude i wrote for the classical guitar?
This is my 2nd etude, i accidentally wrote the descending part of the opening scale and through a sort of inversion i did the ascending part, i found the unevenness in the structure of it every time it repeated to be interesting, so i got inspired to develop this strange idea into a cohesive melodic piece, took me all day of just being in a lunatic composing mode to complete this piece, which honestly didn't expect a full piece in one day since i am very slothful with writing music, and considering how long i have been playing guitar, my theory is kinda weak, i am not even sure what key this is in, please don't be afraid to give any harsh criticism, i accept literally anything, oh and i am especially interested in thoughts about this being a good guitar etude, because even though i wrote this for guitar, i havnt been able to play it because i am in the middle to learning other music so eventually expect to see fingerings and slur signs everywhere! https://musescore.com/user/26880706/scores/5851857
Opinions on saxophone
Cause I honestly don't like em if there playing too loud and if playing by themselves I only like them in a whole band and playing quietly
If you could have any trombone in the world...
Hey fellow trombonists.
Many of you may not know this, but while you may play tenor or bass trombone there are tons of other types. So out of any style of trombone ever what would you put on your wish list. For me it's the Buccin, a trombone only ever used in France from 1810-1845 that has a Sousaphone like bell with a dragon's head on the end. The thing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Buccin_yeo_01.jpg) is one of the coolest looking instruments I've ever seen!
So what do you guys think?
How to play longer and louder on lower Bb (B flat)
I’m in school band and it is pretty challenging for me to play lower Bb for more than around 4-6 seconds(estimation). Any tips on how to play longer?
Do you have a new soundfont or effect or one that you downloaded for free from the internet?
If you do, would you like to share it with the group? Assuming we get a group?
ideas?
anyone have ideas on how to improve the group?
i was hoping folks would share sound fonts and effects and more folks would share music with interesting effects.
ideas anyone?
Just finished a suite for solo cello, comments and advises are welcomed
https://musescore.com/user/6595486/scores/5826114
I started the first section as an exercise for modulation, and then decided to expand it into a dance suite. I wrote the sections in the following sequence: prelude, gigue, sarabande, allemande, and minuet.
The minuet was written yesterday during a day-long severe headache, which is a little different from the other parts. I am not sure if it sounds alright here, or I should replace it with a "normal" one.
Any comments about this suite is welcomed!
Also, I would be grateful if cellists can help me to correct the notation (many thanks to Teodor Lontos for his previous help).
And to you, I have 2 questions:
1. Above which pitch would you prefer a treble clef?
2. For a piece with changing tones, would you prefer key signatures or just mark it with the notes (as the present version does)?
Thanks and have a nice Sunday.
Violin and Cello duet recommendations?
Hello! I am looking for sheet music for a violin and cello duet! It's been pretty hard searching for a piece that both sounds good and is pretty challenging. If anyone can send over some great pieces (from musescore) or even websites that have free and good sheet music that'd be great! Thanks for your help in advance! :))
Hello, fellow virtuosi! :D
This group has been around for a while, but seems to be quite dead... I've recently taken it over, and would love to have it active again!
So, if you are an active or new member, please leave a comment below to let me know you're even here.
Thanks!
Darwall 148th arranged for guitar
I have another new guitar arrangement in arpeggio, which is for the popular hymn "Rejoice the Lord is King" to the tune of Darwall 148th, by the composer, John Darwall.
