Waltz in the form of a Sonata

I just had this idea come to mind. What if I combine the Waltz and the Sonata? Here is my proposed form:

I call the piece that I am composing, Valse Quasi una Sonata, which translates to Waltz almost like a Sonata. As you can see from the image, I use the Dominant more as a bridge than a true Dominant. This is how I bridge to the Subdominant with the Dominant:

C major -> C minor chord(or the note Eb) -> Bb major

I have this bass pattern occurring throughout the piece:

Root, Chord, Chord

Often the 2 chords will be an inversion apart, but when the right hand gets into the bass clef, the chords are sometimes the same. The Root is usually at least a fifth down from the first chord, but particularly with the F major chord, I find that I can only do that when the melody goes up high. If it stays in the first octave, I have to have the first F major chord be in first inversion, a third up from the root. The hardest part I have found so far about composing this piece is having the rhythm of the Waltz and the form of the Sonata, while keeping the piece coherent.

So what do you think of my idea of combining the rhythm of the Waltz with the form of the Sonata?

NEED TROMBONE PLAYERS! Piano For Us Ensemble

Hello Trombone Players! I am from the Piano For Us Group! We (the group admins) are making an Ensemble for lots of players. We need 2 TROMBONE players! This is what is going to happen:  The Group Admins will assign a song and then we will create a Musescore of it. Once we have done the Musescore score, we will assign the song to everybody! Then everybody has a choice either to video record yourself play or create an audio recording. If you do a video record, when we make our final video and we combine all of the audio, there will your video of you playing! You may wonder, how will we play all on the same beat? Answer: Everybody will have a metronome on and have a earbud in their ear and play along with the Metronome. Everybody will turn in their audio recording and me and Edward and Major and Minor will make the video, OR IF ANYBODY IS A VIDEO EDITOR!! and we MIGHT make a YouTube channel and start our awesome project! Remember if you do not want to be on camera, just audio record yourself! We are going to have so much fun! Please Join! The 2 PEOPLE THAT MESSAGE ME THROUGH MUSESCORE are in!  Our Group :) https://musescore.com/groups/piano-for-us-ensemble

Join the Ensemble!

Hello everyone! We were recently thinking about a collaboration we could do here, on Musescore. We were thinking we could gather a bunch of musicians who play instruments other than than piano (we'll also need one pianist) to perform a sort of group piece for a chamber ensemble. We'll also need someone who has a video editor that can combine multiple solo performances and make one group video. We are still thinking about what to do with the video.

1. We're not looking for any specific skill level, you just need to have some experience.
2. We unfortunately can only take at most three players for each instrument, so we don't too many of the same one.
I think this should be a fairly fun project, and we're accepting volunteers now! Please reply to this discussion if you want to participate or if you have any questions. :)

First Musescore Uploads

I am pretty new to composing (only started 2-3 years ago) and I would like any critique, feedback, or suggestions, etc. for some of my original comps.

This would be greatly appreciated Thanks :)

1st Anniversary On Musescore [NOTICE TO EVERYONE]

Hello everyone! I have been on Musescore for one full year (time passes very fast) since November 2018 and would like to inform you of the following:
1. Take note that I have changed my username to Littlemusicbear so that those from my other accounts will have easier access to my original compositions. My previous username is Bearsim. I am unlikely to change my username for this few years.
2. I would like to thank all users for your continued support for the past year and hop to receive your comments on my scores in time to come.
3. If your do not know much about my compositions, here's your chance. I learn and play classical Piano (ABRSM syllabus) and that's all. My composing is self taught, a little based on music theory, and of course, there are many of you who compose better than me... Do give advice for me to improve my skills.
4. Below is the link to my first anniversary special, with this I end my notice.
Thank you.

I can try your piano concerto!

 Hello everyone!
I want to play your original piano concerto! I have always wanted to play a concerto, and I think I can do us both a favor by giving a mini "commission" for your piece! After I learn it, it will go on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrJfro6oZaixMDVF-FgOtMw?view_as=subscriber

I do have a few requirements:
-Please keep it under 6 minutes long. This can be an extract from a movement, but preferably an entire movement so that the video sounds complete.
-THE PIECE HAS TO BE PLAYABLE! I WILL NOT play a seemingly impossible (or impeccably difficult) concerto because I can't and I am not a virtuoso pianist.
-Please upload a score without the piano part. I will be uploading it to YouTube so I need a track without the piano part in it (as well as one with it, of course!). This means I will need you to upload a score to Musescore without the piano part for me to practice with and also so I can get an MP3 with only the orchestra.
-I will only choose one concerto to play. Since there are so many great composers on Musescore, I think I should run by a LOT of pieces. For that reason, I will have to pick only one piece for a commission.
-It must be original. I don't want to play a concerto that is almost identical to one that already exists. This means I won't accept transcriptions or anything like that. I want all of the composer in this concerto.
-Cadenzas are accepted. I can definitely play a cadenza for a concerto, but I strongly prefer a piece with orchestra.

I don't know how long it will take me to learn your concerto. I will definitely focus on making the most out of this experience for you AND me.
Also, if I don't pick your concerto, I can still upload it to YouTube if you want! I can post a MIDI visualization like many of my other videos on the channel.

I hope this event will be a success!

If you could have any trombone in the world...

Hey fellow trombonists.
Many of you may not know this, but while you may play tenor or bass trombone there are tons of other types. So out of any style of trombone ever what would you put on your wish list. For me it's the Buccin, a trombone only ever used in France from 1810-1845 that has a Sousaphone like bell with a dragon's head on the end. The thing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Buccin_yeo_01.jpg) is one of the coolest looking instruments I've ever seen!
So what do you guys think?
