any good tenor sax peices you guys could recomend?
This is what I play. I am self taught and have never played with others.
Is anybody able to make a clarinet sweet but psycho cover. I really want to play this song. It would be very much appreaciated.
Not sure how many of you know about the MuseScore feature where you can synchronize a YouTube video with a score, but thought it could be pretty cool to sync up some videos.
Here is an example of a synchronized score: https://musescore.com/robin_m_butler/drum-corp
This could take the concept of Vic Firth's "Learn the Music" to the next level. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCq9eCicq8HmD80vSyIbp8w
on bar 127 on this score
look at the third percussion track. i really want to get those percussion sounds, and i don't know what soundfont it is, or what a soundfont even is, if it even is a soundfont, or how to download soundfonts
I was wondering if there are any experienced percussionist who could rewrite drumline and frontline in my dci composition. You can find the piece on my profile to see if it is somerhing that you would like to work on. Feel free to add or take away as many percussion parts as youd like. Please use the MDL snare, tenor, and bass. Message me and ill send you the file and we can work together!
this is really stupid, but what is your favorite musical terms lol
So, I am just a flute player who loves to study music theory and the baroque period of music. I have loved to make music revolving around using a mixture of woodwind and violin instruments while dabbing with Basso Continuo every once and a while. Just wondering how I upload stuff and get acquainted and all. Thanks!
How many of you play the piano?
I have had this project in the works, and have all the pieces lined up, except for a ballad, because I cannot find a ballad piece that fits the theme of this project. I will provide a link and the piece selection below for you to look up/listen to.
Theme Idea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpU_yjsGkHs
ThE sMiLeR - Kübler, Wunsch, Krause, de Moura, and Heidicke
In the Hall of the Mountain King - Edvard Greig
Bird & Bela in Bb (1st Movement) - Don Sebesky
Asphalt Cocktail - John Mackey
**INSERT BALLAD HERE**
ThE sMiLeR Reprise
Dense - Univers Zero
And no, am not trying to make a Bluecoats show, even though it looks like it. These are just the best pieces that fit with this theme.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Why are there transposing instruments? I mean you play a certain note but the one you played is different than the one written on the music? Why do we have this? Why dk we make it to where the Bari sax is reading treble clef? That's really just kind of twisted...
Last Monday we did another #MusescoreMonday release.
This time a drum feature used in a Marchingband show, that we also did the choreography for.
Check it out:
We'd love to hear what you think of it.
I need drumline/frontline writers for a DCI style show that i'm putting together. Message me if interested. Thanks!
If you are new to the group, welcome!
Feel free to create your own discussion, or post replies, but please abide by the rules listed in the about section.
We enjoy having you in our group!
This is my own creation. 100% original. This is my take on a DCI show, but a high school show length. I'm not the best at writing frontline so you'll have to forgive me on that all you frontline musicians. Please let me know what you think of it! :) I'd greatly appreciate the feedback! (Considering this took me three+ months to compose)
