I am Daniel Lee
Hi guys! I was just wondering if anyone would be able to check out my first composition and give me feedback. I'm really interested in music but don't want to make pieces that are unplayable or just sound off, so it feedback would be greatly appreciated. I self-teach myself piano and have been doing so for the past two years, so I'm not expert and really need some guidance. Its been up a while, but I just discovered this group.

This was a composition I made purely out of joy upon first hearing that a person close to me wanted to learn the piano. The joy I felt in being able to share my passion,I channeled into this piece and I hope it shows! Any feedback is much appreciated, thank you :)
I would to get some advices because it's my first composition and i need help to improve ;)
This is my first attempt on string quartet! I will be glad if you can give me some feedback!
A new piece I've been working on. In this one I really wanted to get more piano variety without removing too much from the progression of the music. I was wondering if what I have (with a little more variety in the end) works well for the piano part?
So I only have a few measures of a first movement but I hope to expand this into a full 4 movement string quartet. Thing is, I find it hard to get the combination of being in sonata form and still being interesting when it gets past duets into trios and quartets. I know it should be easier because I have more freedom with a string quartet than with a piano sonata but no, I have always found piano sonatas easier to compose.
Here is my first draft. You can see that I go from a Tutti to the cello playing solo which really brings out the warm sound of the cello. I plan on having the other instruments come back one by one until I reach Tutti again. So here is the link:
Hey it's me. Haven't said much thus far so might as well now. Just wanted to encourage you guys to keep sharing your music and inviting people and, most importantly, supporting your fellow composers/musicians/arrangers. We're a small community now but if we keep reaching out who knows! So just keep making music and being your awesome selves!
These are old pieces of mine (dating from the late 80s) which I generally play in a semi-improvisatory manner (especially the last third or so). The sheet music is essentially a "snapshot" -- a transcription of one particular performance.
I've been struggling a bit with notating these accurately while still making them playable. For the most part, I've erred on the side of accuracy, but I think I would have great difficulty playing these well, if I didn't compose them myself.
Hello all. Listen close. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A REASON FOR EXTRA BLANK MEASURES AT THE END OF A COMPOSITION, DON'T UPLOAD THAT PIECE WITHOUT GETTING RID OF THEM! Thank you.
I am working on a Nocturne as you probably know from my previous post here. Well, I have the first theme melody and bass down but I have no idea where to have the pedal marked except at the ending measure where it is all tonic harmony.
Here is the link to my nocturne:
In case some of you are waiting for my compositions, next one would be a 50 follower special that is completed. Now, still waiting for a few more followers before I can release it. 😑
