Hello fellow flutists! If anyone is interested in witnessing what goes on during a practice session for a professional flute player, and would like the opportunity to chat and ask questions with one, then there is a really cool Twitch Streamer you all should check out. Her name is Joanna and she is a really cool and fun professional flutist, who also loves video games. She has a youtube channel called JustAnotherFlutist (JAF), and recently she has started taking her Practice Session to twitch that way she can be more interactive with us while we observe her practice.

2. Once you have done that than head on over to https://www.justanotherflutist.com/twitch.html to view her livestream link and a weekly stream schedule which is updated every Sunday night.

Scoring feedback/advice requested.
My first attempt at notating for guitar, therefore any constructive advice and feedback on this score from those who know a thing or two about the notation conventions for classical guitar would be great. (My formal musical education comes from a wind-playing background, whereas all my guitar is self-taught). Thanks daveneal already for demonstrating the guitar sim on this chart. https://musescore.com/user/28956788/scores/5664629

Just completed two simple etudes for guitar:
I would love to hear anyone's experience trying them out.
You may already heard about us. We're the Young Composers' Online Orchestra ("YCOO"). Recently, we've started a new project - we're gonna play Elliot Butler's Drama for Orchestra No. 6.
In the process of preparing the parts for our members, we found out that we don't have any English Horns, Violas and Double Basses!
If you can play one (or more :P) of those instruments, please consider joining us either forever, or for the current project only. You could save a LOT of effort and hope we're all giving in our orchestra.
Have a great day,
Milan Steklý, moderator of the YCOO
Join my new banana group. Sure to be lots of sweet yellow slippery fun (whatever that means).
Has there ever been a song or a piece that you have played in school band or Symphonic Band where the piccolo part during full FORTE Tutti sections was just so EPPICCC that you wished that there were more than 2 Piccolo players currently playing at once in your Symphonic Band at that moment!! If so name the piece.
The piece I played Piccolo in is called "The Witch and the Saint" by Steven Reineke
Where are my *cough* fellow gamers who play the flute, I haven't seen many posts here about this kinda stuff and I feel lonely, let's just share some music so we can all feel lonely together.
This page was created for guitar players and any music related for the guitar. Style and genre is not important as long as the music posted is guitar related. However, scores that do include the guitar MUST actually be playable on the guitar or the score will be removed. No offense is intended toward anyone who uses the guitar for composition and tonal purposes only BUT the Everything Guitar page is intended for Guitarist and Guitar Composers who are interested in researching ,sharing, and discovering guitar oriented music that is actually playable on the guitar itself. If these guidelines are not met the piece will be removed. These rules do NOT apply concerning seemingly impossible virtuoso techniques with proper practice and instruction to accomplish. These rules apply to guitar pieces or guitar parts within scores that include chord structures legitimately impossible to execute on the instrument. If anyone feels as though their piece has been wrongfully removed due to these guidelines you may resubmit the piece with the fingering necessary to accomplish such techniques. Using notes within the range of the guitar doesn't make the combinations of those notes or chords playable. Please do not take these rules as a message to not compose for the guitar if you are not a guitarist. DO take this message as an invitation to seek council How to properly notate passages for the guitar if you are not a guitar player. Thanks again to all the members who support this group.
I been getting random questions as i dig into playing the Flute. As a quick question, Can Flutes do Vibrato?? Please Answer!
So i'm in high school band and the music is too hard for the others but REALLY easy for me! WHAT SHOULD I DO!!
Please feel free to post your original finger style pieces in any genre. I am happy to listen and provide feedback however I would not do so uninvited. I want this to be a safe, non judge mental place for composers at any level.
Hello all, this is my first post.
All i'm asking is if i put a score of a solo nylon acoustic guitar piece in to musecore 3 how do i get musescore to add tab below? I've noticed many score/tab hybrids have the notes on the thinnest strings are on the tab when playing on the wound strings gives it enough body, is there a way around this automatically rather than having to do it manually? Also, i read of the ability to put straight up tablature in and have musescore add a score, how is this possible?
The score i have is Farewell by Sergio Assad, and i'd like to turn the free tab of Schnee in Istanbul by Carlo Domeniconi in to a tab/score hybrid as found on classclef.
Thanks very much.
