I am dating my girlfriend (obviously) and I am worried, because we might break up because we never see each other anymore, and will end up at different high schools, I don't want to break up with her because she provided me a lot of stability when going through rough times, and I still like her. And there is this other person I think I might like, but I still like my girlfriend. This whole this is so confusing, and I'm not even sure if my girlfriend still likes me. Anyways I need advice. And if we break up, how can we make it so we are still friends, because we were friend before we started dating.
Hey y'all, I'm still alive and wanted to say that I miss u all and that ill be starting freshman year of high school August 29, also please spread the word about this group, we need more people,

I was curious if anyone else knew the rules for performance of covers of copyright material. I'd love to busk with my group in a mall or something. I want to perform more, but I am not sure what rules there are for that. Are there limitations to what I can do if it's my own arrangement? just curious. :)
Mine is How Great thou Art and Great is Thy Faithfulness and The Love of God come in a close second.
Trendsetter here we go

Working on a a more simplistic mashup of some Beatles tunes and Zelda's Song of Storms. I think I've rewritten it 3 times now, and would love some feedback from any skilled arrangers out there? -
Hi, everyone, I'm relatively new on MuseScore and I just joined this group. I love music and photography and I have been doing both for several years. I play piano by ear, although I can read notation. I just got a new camera in February, a Nikon D500. It's really cool. And it doesn't have an Auto mode; only AV, TV, P, and Manual. (I shoot in Manual). I really like taking photos of birds, but anything in the outdoors will do. You can see my best stuff at https://www.ianhearn.com/. I'm really glad to be a member of the ONLY photography group on MuseScore. I have a few questions though: are we supposed to upload scores here, or just discuss things? And if we upload scores, to they have to have a photo cover? And what about competitions and stuff like that?
I've been trying to learn guitar for about a week now and I've run into a slight problem. I don't know whether it's a problem with my technique or my fingers. When trying to play a G major chord (3rd fret, 1st string; 2nd fret, 5th string; 3rd fret, 6th string) I simply can't get the first string to stop buzzing. I suspect it has something to do with my finger position.
For some reason when I put pressure on my fingers they bend backwards at the last joint. My ring finger (the one that I'm using to fret the first string in that G chord) can bend about 45 degrees this way, and I can't get it to stop. I don't know whether it's because my fingers are weak and unstable, or whether it's just a weird physiological thing. Whatever the case, in all the pictures of G major chords that I see the ring finger does not seem to bend back like that, and I think that this is the reason I'm having trouble.
Is this the case, and what should I do?
I appreciate any and all help.
Did you see a bird today? If so, what is the name of the bird? You are welcome to come back everyday, and report bird sightings. :D
Today, I saw a Dark-eyed Junco, Calliope Hummingbird, Rufous Hummingbird, American Robin, and a Black-capped Chickadee! (Probably saw more that one though).
kinda going along with the generations of musescore discussion in the Discussion Group :P
But there is a pattern of people that join, become active, and slowly become less active. So I thought it would be fun for you guys to see where you're at in relation to this group's development and "history" xD
I'll probably keep updating this as the group gets more history lol
1st wave (RSA veterans)
Joined before the creation of the community page, and before this group began blowing up thanks to the RSA Rebellion of March 2018. At this stage the group was <60 members, <120 discussions, and was not well known to the rest of the site.
Were likely active on musescore prior to the creation of this group.
This was from the very beginning to the beginning of March 2018.
Joined during or after the Rebellion. Was part of a huge surge of new members into the group after it blew up. Joined while the group was still "open" - before Dookis and the spammer followers prompted me to change it to "moderated" at the end of June 2018. These are the last people to join the group by themselves, without me reviewing their membership requests.
Joined during summer break of 2018 (July through August). Group was at its peak in activity, and by this time I was approving join requests instead of letting members join by themselves. Dookis incident happened.
September arrives, RSA has its first birthday. General activity decreases (but group remains highly active) and discussion count rapidly increases but the discussions begin lacking quality. Moderation becomes stricter - I mass-delete 200 discussions and begin modding more closely. Group rules for discussions are created. Discussion quality improves.
Joined September through December 2018
Joined January through May 2019. Activity/conversation is normal. Middle school musescorers begin to outnumber high school and/or college+ musescorers. Musix and lordtroll incidents happen, moderation becomes stricter. RSA breaks world record for highest discussion count in a musescore group and begins taking over the rest of musescore. It later crosses 3k discussions and becomes the first group on musescore to do so.
Activity decreases due to everyone going on vacation for summer, and the death of musescore is predicted. However, later in the summer, the group recovers a bit. RSA crosses 4k discussions. Joined June 2019 or later.
RSA turns two years old. Summer ends, activity increases. I am no longer the only person moderating the group; Jaybird1 and Skylighter are appointed as mods so I can focus better on school. Current wave; joined September 4, 2019 or later.
Anyway comment below what wave you're from :D
Flutes r da best
...you are very tired, stressed, and unmotivated to practice your instrument, but you force yourself to practice and can't stop playing because you're releasing the emotions and stress? That feels amazing. I played violin for 5 hours straight today and I feel amazing. I highly recommend practicing, even if you don't feel like it. :D
I've got an audition for our school's Tri-M club (if you know what that is, kudos I guess). There's gonna be about 16 people auditioning, and I haven't auditioned in over a year (which was like my 3rd audition). Help. Give me information and tips. I am in need of them.
