All Things Musical

A place where you don't need to wait until tomorrow to put your musical masterpieces! You can play games, ask for feedback and challenge anyone to make a piece of music related to any musical. Though this tale isn't as old as time, but this group is as awesome as Greased Lightning! (And yes, I will be making awful puns) :)

The purpose of this group is to discuss issues related to creating scores in MuseScore that can be easily converted to Braille.

You are welcomed to ask for public domain scores to be transcribed and added to the Openscore Braille account. Volunteers to transcribe these score are always appreciated. Please post requests for scores to be added here, so people can volunteer to transcribe them for you.

If you have a score you would like listed on the OpenScore-Braille account, please provide a link to it and ensure I have a way to contact you directly. You may also e-mail me directly at

If you convert scores to braille and would like to have them included on the OpenScore Braille account, please post them here so others can see what is being worked on.

Mathematical Musicians

I just thought it would be fun to have a group to talk about math, and help other people with their math problems. :P Feel free to join even if you don't like math and would just like some help! :D

The group is moderated, but I'll let pretty much anybody in.

Also I love to sing but am not to good.... any advice on that I would also very very grateful for.

French Tablature

MuseScore folks can be the ones to lead the way in online use of French Tablature for both plucked (ie., lute & theorbo) and bowed (ie., lyra viol) string instruments. We can benefit greatly by openly discussing our needs and discoveries here.

Vocal Music!

Hiya! Fia here, aka lareinedeslapins ! Welcome to an absolute haven of choral trash - erm, I mean, choral music! :)

I'm a big fan of choral music and other vocal stuff, but I've noticed that there isn't too much of a choral music base on MuseScore. There just isn't enough vocal music of any sort on this site, really, and I'm hoping that we can change that!

Anything and everything choir is welcomed here! Talk about voice parts, favorite composers, favorite voicings, choir memes, good songs, etc...and, of course, advertise your own choral music and choral arrangements! And who knows - if we get enough people involved, maybe we could even make our own virtual choir...winkwinknudgenudge. ;D (And maybe if we get enough members we could hold choral composing and arranging competitions, too!)

I would also be open to advertising MuseScore vocal composers and artists as well, so message me if you would like to be featured here! Maybe we'll whip up a little "interview"-type thingie we can do or something, and we can have a vocalist/composer of the week or something. :D

ANY choir-related or voice-related sheet music may be posted in here! Choral pieces, art songs, a cappella arrangements, musical theatre, etc. The one thing I ask is that you avoid adding or advertising any sheet music without vocals in it to this group. I won't kick you from the group or anything, but any non-vocal sheet music or advertisements may or may not suspiciously disappear....

There aren't really any steadfast crazy rules or anything, but I do have a couple of general etiquette and guidelines that I ask you to try and follow: be polite to each other, respect each other and each others' opinions, avoid needless fighting, and have fun!

Enjoy! :)
