Our mission is to help those striving to become a composer for the Marimba and other mallet instruments and to perfect their playing on the Marimba if they are a learner.
Marching Percussion & Drumline Group
“The attraction of the virtuoso for the public is very like that of the circus for the crowd. There is always the hope that something dangerous will happen.”
— Claude Debussy
This group is for all the advanced piano players and composers on Musescore; if you are one of them, you should definitely join! :)
Feel free to join contests, participate in debates, answer questions, share your opinions, ask for advice, and do all of the other fun stuff that goes on here!
There is no list of rules; you just need to observe the following two warnings...
-WARNING: Discussions and/or comments that are off-topic, inappropriate, offensive, disrespectful, or any other synonym will be deleted without explanation (oh, and that includes all forms of advertisements).
-WARNING: Trolls, spammers, scammers, and other such undesirable creatures will be expelled without any warning other than this one.
The World Needs More Pit Arrangements! And this is the perfect place for them to go
Only one rule for compositions/arrangements submitted to the group: The majority of the instruments used must be some kind of percussion instrument or other instrument commonly found in a percussion ensemble.
In this group, we will share piano music and help eachother become piano players. This group is also connected to The Master Composers. So we will have a completion every once in whil to decide who goes and competes in their competion.
Glad you joined! Feel free to post percussion music ONLY. I want this to be a percussion group not a "oh lets just post random scores here to get views." No hard feelings haha.
Musecorps (pronounced as "MuseCore") is a group that aims to provide a home for fans of both drum corps and marching band.
Have an original composition for a marching band? Did you arrange your favorite song(s) into a drum corps format? Do you have a transcription of a drum corps or marching band show you want heard? This is the place to do it!
I hope to hold arrangement/composition competitions in the near future, so keep an eye open for that!
“It cries, sighs and dreams. It possesses a crescendo and can gradually diminish until it is only an echo of an echo. I know of no other instrument that possesses this particular capacity to reach the outer limits of audible sound.”
The saxophone has great potential, but is often shunned. Here we can discuss how weave the saxophone into the orchestra with the maximun effectiveness.
Post and share your compositions, discuss drumming, and remember to practice mallets

I made this group to shed light on the great instruments in low brass that never really get heard over the melodies of flutes and trumpets. I won't be posting much but I would love to see what everyone can do with trombones,Bass Trombones,Euphoniums and Tubas(I'm a tuba player myself and would love to play pieces where tuba gets the melody ;) ). Also I might play a few of the pieces posted and upload to my youtube channel.
Welcome! We are here for the music and to help one another out. Please be nice and courteous to others.
Anyone who plays or loves the Saxophone is welcome!
Please, no bad language, inappropriate things, or swearing. Thanks! :)
Hey. I don't really have mush to say, so just join my group if you love drums!
The music here should mostly be original compositions and different arrangements of pieces for marimba. There may be the occasional vibe or xylo piece, but try to ignore those. (Just kidding we are accepting of all mallet instruments)
Feel free to share your arrangements, compositions, covers, whatever you want, as long as there's a mallet part in there somewhere it belongs here!
This group is intended to expand the solo and duet percussion repertoire. You can upload any percussion pieces to this group as long as they only need one or two players to perform it. This includes mallet solos/duet, snare solos/etudes, multi-percussion solos, timpani solos, and many more. The more, the better. I'll also allow pieces that feature a percussion soloist (Ex: Bob Becker's Bye Bye Medley and Emmanuel Séjourné's Marimba Concerto).
This group welcomes all to post, share, comment on, etc percussion ensemble scores. All types of percussion ensemble pieces are invited!
