This group is for all ocarina players and people who are interested in the instrument. It's also meant to bring more awareness to the wonderful world of sweet potatoes, English pendants and all other shapes and forms of this ancient vessel flute.
The melodica is an underused and underappreciated instrument that is regarded as a toy. But the melodica can be used to create very expressive and rich music as well as any other instrument.

Sparks is an american band comprising of two eccentric Los Angeles born brothers named Russell Mael and Ronald Mael. They have been making albums for nearly fifty years, and over that time they have made albums scaling various genres including glam rock, arena rock, disco, new wave, techno, classical, minimalism, etc.
[And have been influenced many bands]
The lyrics to their songs are generally witty, smart-arse, and most of the time, hilarious.
(Ron writes the songs, and Russell sings them)

Klavarskribo in short
Klavarskribo (or shorter: Klavar) is a musical notation (notation system), which in a number of respects deviates from the usual notation (you know, with violin clef, bass clef, crosses, moles, etc.). The big advantage of Klavarskribo is that reading music is much easier, making playing music accessible to everyone.
For a complete explanation with examples you can go to
The Klavar stave consists of groups of two and three vertical lines, representing the black and white keys of a keyboard. In between and there the white and black noten (keys) signed. The most striking difference with the classical notation is undoubtedly also that the notes are read from top to bottomand thus lie in line with the hands. The center of the keyboard is shown with two vertical dotted lines. To the left of it the central C, in between the D, and to the right of it the E. And so on.
In contrast to traditional writing, Klavarskribo does not have 'keys' (these are signs at the front of the music bar with a function that is not necessary in Klavarskribo). The regular switching of key (which means that every note has another place!) Is completely unknown to Klavarskribo because: Each note has its own permanent place!
The famous crosses, double cross / mole and repair marks are therefore not necessary in Klavarskribo for playing! So you can never be mistaken in the test that you have to strike !!
Klavarskribo has two types of nuts: white and black. The white ones are played on the white keys and the black ones on the black keys of a keyboard. All notes are provided with sticks; the stick to the right is played with the right hand, the stick to the left: left hand. A note continues until the next of the same hand or voice, unless a stop or end call is used.
Size and rhythm
Size and rhythm are graphically noted. This means that the distance between the notes is decisive for their duration. The big advantage is: you do not have to count with dots, dashes, flags and dots etc. to determine the duration (number of beats) of a note! You see it literally for you!Someone with a normal sense of rhythm can handle this!
With Klavarskribo, playing is fun again: 'what you see is what you get'. You do not have to make a difficult 'translation' to find out which note to play.
And if I want to go to the conservatory now?
Yes, you will really have to struggle through the time-consuming features of traditional writing ... Count on 2-3 years to be able to read in all keys just as quickly as a Klavarskribo player. After that the advantage of Klavarskribo disappears and can even become a limitation because not all music is immediately available.
Is the music in Klavarskribo different than in the trad. notation? No not at all! No note, no sign! But as cons. student you also have class lessons and you get musical examples on paper and supporting theory books. But not in Klavarskribo ... so you just get stuck. For someone who wants a professional carrierre, the more difficult musical writing will no longer matter after 3 years. For the hobby player it saves a lot because it can immediately work on the interpretation instead of puzzling which key it should be and how long it should last ...
Klavarskribo is fun!
