The Mothers in Convention

Frank Zappa changed music. There is no discussion on that. From the oddness of the collaborations between Captain Beefheart and The Mothers, to providing a stepping stone for the careers of Steve Vai and Alice Cooper, to composing symphonic music for performance mostly by an odd rock band arrangement, to pushing the limits of acceptable jazz, to writing one of the most infamous pieces of solo percussion, his influence is felt in almost every nook of music today. This group seeks to be a place for transcriptions and alternate arrangements of his works, as well as pieces written in his style (if the are very good).

Jazz Flutists Annonymous

Honestly fuck the Anchorman. It turned us into a joke and I hate the writers for it. Every time I say I play the flute for jazz music they immediately bring up the Anchorman. Also, this can be a place of peace to those who are simply searching for jazz flute pieces and the like.
