Welcome everyone. Thanks in advance for joining this group.
What I want to do is to interview some of the top users on Musescore and find out more about them General facts on why they think they have so many followers and what they think makes people want to follow them. Second, I want to interview people that don't hardly get recognition.
And third, I want to report the basic news on Musescore. This would include scammers, weird emails, people leaving, etc... if you have any information like that you can preferably let me know via Musescore messaging system. so if you know anything interesting please let me know, even if it is just a fun fact about a person. please don't be shy about it.
I plan to do I biography a least once every two weeks. You can ask me to do one on you but, that doesn't mean I will choose you.
My dream is to have this group big enough that anyone can come on and find out anything that's going on. So if you would hit that join button and become a member, now.
Welcome everyone. Thanks in advance for joining this group.
When I add a group of four grace notes to a preceding note, they run into and even overlap the following note. How do I force space between the end of a group of grace notes and the next note?
It seems with this version is impossible to add a score to my SongBook. I tried the two methods that worked in previous versions:
1. Open in Musescore (from Gdrive or any other cloud app).
2. Drag and drop via Airdrop from my Mac to my iPad.
In both cases, nothing happens (well, with Airdrop there is a small flash saying "copying", but nothing is copied).
I reinstalled the app from the Appstore, only to see my previous scores in my SongBook are gone...
Thanks a lot for your work!
Hey guys! I had an idea! Perhaps some of you would like to do a collab composition with me! Who's interested? ;)
List of people already in the collab:
- Mr. Peabody
And I'm halfway though!
It's the American Red Cross certification system
Can you sing?
No: Either your DNA is junk or you have a bad upbringing.
Yes: Let's do it!
I am now the owner of "Score Advise Group"! There are 1.5k members in it.
Woot woot RSA is taking over!
The wait is over! The first competition is here!
That didn't take long! Thank you to everyone who has joined the group in the last 24 hours or so. :D
So, I have a couple of things to talk about, the first is announcing the competition, the second is regarding Admins and Judges etc, so I want to quickly apologise for the lengthy post.
But let's start with the fun bit!
CCC#1 - "The Watzmann" by Caspar David Friedrich.
"The Watzmann" is a painting by artist Caspar David Friedrich, made in the mid 1820s. It is a fantastic landscape painting, and although I know nothing about art, I absolutely love this painting.
This challenge was inspired by a composition task I was given at school, where we had to write a piece of music inspired by a painting. I chose a different painting by Caspar David Friedrich, which inspired me to look up some more of his art to use for this competition.
So, the challenge is fairly simple: Write a piece of music inspired by this painting, "The Watzmann". I look forward to seeing what you can come up with.
A few quick rules/details:
1) You may use any ensemble of instruments.
2) The piece must be between 1.30 and 5 minutes long.
3) The piece must be original, not an arrangement.
You will be given a mark out of 10 for your piece, along with some feedback. You have until Sunday 19th May which gives you one month to complete the piece. I will announce the winners as soon as possible after that.
Admin / Judge
So, basically, if anyone would like to be an admin and judge in the competition, please message me. Your job will be to help me mark the scores, and make sure the group runs smoothly. Obviously, you won't be able to participate in any competitions which you help judge, so sorry about that. If no-one wants to, I can do it myself, but it would make things a lot easier for me, so message if you're willing to help. Thanks!
There. I apologise again for the long post. I'd never get away with this on RSA. :/
Thanks again to everyone who helped boost this group to 30 members yesterday. :D
I look forward to seeing all of your entries to the competition. Obviously you don't have to, but if you are entering, it would be helpful if you could just let me know in the comments. Have fun!
As weird as it sounds, I’m stirring onions in a pan with one hand, and typing this discussion in the other.
My whole family did Easter breakfast together. Weirdly out church didn't meet today (Umm, it's Easter... shouldn't we have met?) so I spent most of the day writing a book with my best friend over Email...
The first contest in this group. Yayyyyy!
So, here's the description:
1. The music has to be gloomy and sad (I have STD (just kidding) )
2. 4/4 time
3. No key signature
4. Instrument: Piano
The Winner will be announced everywhere possible!
Send the file to my email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Now I don't mean to offend people who like it- ur entitled to ur own opinion- but I personally don't like pop music and as young person living in today's modern world its practically IMPOSSIBLE TO GET THROUGH SCHOOL without being judged. Pweashe tell me I'm not the only one... what are your experiences like??
Let's start a word game! One word after another. First word: You
I had two ideas.
1) A thing next to a user's name that tells whether they've been active or not based on if they've done anything in the last month or something.
2) A way for pros to select which scores stay up when their subscriptions end or they cancel.
Mondays are group days. I will be conversing with the group of groups to figure this out. the group this week is...…..https://musescore.com/groups/1000-comment-discussions-and-meaningful-conversations
