So, I can't write music and the mellophone section wants a fanfare. Can someone write on for me? BTW there's two of us.
Just a reminder that if you're planning on submitting something for the competition, the deadline is tomorrow. A lot of you have commented, but nobody has submitted yet. Is anyone planning on submitting something? And if so, should I push the deadline back by a few days?
Thanks for any feedback!
Hello everyone! The 2018 Drum Corps season is over, and I figured it was time for me to start this group up again. Therefore, I've decided to hold the first competition that I talked about in this groups' other post!
This first competition is basically a test. It's just for fun, you could say. If enough people participate, I'll hold another one in the future, and possibly include some level of prizes. Just depends on how many people participate!
I thought we'd start off easy. Create a drum corps style arrangement from any piece (s) written by Ludwig van Beethoven. The arrangement should be longer than one minute in length, but no more than three. You can include percussion if you want, but just brass would be alright too! When you have something completed, post it to MuseScore and post a link to it in a comment on this post. I'll live submissions open until a week from today, Tuesday 9/18 at around 2:00 PM EST.
If you have any comments or questions, leave them below!
If your looking for a concert song try American patrol I play it at my military school and it sounds great
good evening guys, my name is Wellington, Famuta's band director from Brazil, and I would really like a 10-minute field show from ABBA . Can you help me?
I made an arrangement, it is almost done. I have to adjust some details. Let me know what you think!
Hey everyone, this is going to be a recurring ad that I spread across the marching band/dci community.
That's right, I offer only the best and the most thoughtful percussion/drumline for any DCI or marching band show thrown at me. I've been writing drumline music (let's just call it book) for about 5 years now. I've practiced a lot through writing book on paper or on Sibelius---making the change to Musescore but that option is still available---in order to produce very nuanced and meticulous book that works for any kind of show. I am currently the caption head and percussion arranger for Perris High School as well as Front Ensemble/Percussion co-arranger for Lindenhurst Senior HIgh School.
I can provide any type of examples of how I write on moment's notice as well!
If you are interested, please don't hesitate to add me on Facebook, or shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I'd love to work with you!
I've just finished updating a score and now I can't upload it. I try deleting it and re uploading but now I can't re upload or upload at all. Was wondering if I was the only one.
Hello, thought of asking how do you compose a march. There are very few marches available on musescore that is of interest to me, and I prefer in 6/8.
I'm not too great at spicing up Low Brass or bass parts. Nor am I too great at writing battery parts. Bear with me on this piece since I haven't figured out on an opener and if you'd like to help me write it that would be awesome! Either way help is much appreciated so if you'd like to collaborate on my piece Life To Undead (which needs a better title too) I'd love the help!
I am seeking a score for the song "Visions of a Sunset" which was featured on the soundtrack to 'Mr. Holland's Opus'.
I am interested in the lead vocal being transposed for the flute, and the original sheet music which features the flute.
Please share a link to it if you come across or develop it. Thanks!

I broke my laptop n I haven’t wrote music in soooo long, it deadass feel like i’m dying 😩😩
I have almost a whole show written with no percussion. My background is in mostly wind arranging so a percussion arranger would be amazing! Thanks!
