I modified Blackheart which Thomas Bergensen (from Two Steps From Hell) composed and Celthyan arranged

Dear members of Concert Band, please come to listen my modified version of Blackheart which Thomas Bergensen (from Two Steps From Hell) composed and Celthyan arranged. All kinds of feedback are welcome. Thank you!

(I already bore this URL in my mind XD, and yes, Celthyan's original version was also linked in the description of my version)

Help Appreciated

I'm not too great at spicing up Low Brass or bass parts. Nor am I too great at writing battery parts. Bear with me on this piece since I haven't figured out on an opener and if you'd like to help me write it that would be awesome! Either way help is much appreciated so if you'd like to collaborate on my piece Life To Undead (which needs a better title too) I'd love the help!

HBCU Marching Band Music

Hi everyone! I'm an arranger for marching bands; more preferably, HBCU style marching/show bands. I write stand tunes, cadences, and dance routines and post them here. If you have any requests of a song you'd like to be arranged for marching band, Ill consider it and if I do complete it, I will feature your Musescore username as an arranger next to mine and also tag the score with it. I really appreciate your time and I hope I hear from you soon!

MuseScore Collection for Sight Reading

Getting your work played is the goal of any composer out there. With prescribed lists for state-level contests and competition with well-established composers, it really is hard for a lot of emerging composers to get their work played and start to build their name.

As every ensemble needs to develop their sight-reading skills, this presents a unique opportunity for composers to start to get their work out there and actually played.

I propose to create a collection of works of Musescore.com members made available to band directors for the specific purpose of sight reading. I will actively promote this collection to band directors through a number of channels and partnerships.

To participate, community members should submit ORIGINAL works that match a specific style guide, have rehearsal markings, articulations, phrasing and conductors notes. I will provide a template and guidelines.

Anyone interested to participate in this initiative can submit links to works to this discussion.

The Sky ISN'T the Limit.. Your Mindset Is

Wassup y'all.. This is a just message to all the arrangers/composers in this group no matter what age, race or gender. I just wanted to remind you to keep grinding & improving. There's always going to be room for improvement, no matter how "good" or "bad" you are at what you do. Even though I may not know most of you we all have one thing in common: a love for music. It's amazing how much love we all share for music because music can literally change lives.. it changed mine. Before music I felt like I didn't have a purpose. I'd join clubs and play sports but I never truly felt at home. This was until I joined band my 8th grade year & my life began to change for the better. Since then I knew that music is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, particularly band. I've grown a lot over the past years playing wise and arranging wise & I'm even drum major now for my high school. But saying all this to say, never give up on your dreams despite all the negative encounters that may come your way. I believe everyone has a purpose in this world & ours is to make the world a better place through MUSIC. Sounds corny but that's just what I truly believe & I'm positive that all of you are gonna be something in the future. Keep up the good work man & always remember that the sky ISN'T the limit, but your mindset is. Stay blessed family.

"New" Group -- Genesis Games Music Team

Hello everyone,

It seems I'm now advertising another new group. (Well, technically, the group I'm about to advertise isn't "new," but nobody besides me has joined it yet at the time of this writing.) The Musescorer Enochulous has made a group called "Genesis Games Music Team" (link here: https://musescore.com/groups/1892176) and is looking for composers and/or other music department members to help him create and share music for some games he is planning on making. (As far as I can tell, right now he's working on one called ZeroBlade Run.) If you're interested in composing for a video game, I recommend you check it out.

Thanks for taking the time to read this,
