CC#3: Electro

Starting March 1, we will be accepting entries for CC#3.  The rules of this contest are simple: Compose an original EDM song.  The following is an example of EDM on musescore: https://musescore.com/nobleewe/scores/5322068

EDM stands for Electronic Dance Music and is characterized by synthesizers, repetitious chords and melodies, and a usually a drop of some sort.

You have until the end of March to post the link to your score in this discussion.  To make things easier for us, please put "CC#3" in your title and add it to this group.

See you then!

Competition No.3 - COMPOSER IMITATION

It's time for our third competition! :D
For this contest, simply create an original composition imitating the style of a well-known composer of your choice.
- Any instrumentation is fine
- Keep it under 5 minutes long
- The composer you imitate can be either living or dead, but must be generally known
- All entries must be received by March 24th, 2019
- Enter your compositions in this discussion
- Each user may only submit one piece

- Voting will begin on the March 25th, 2019 and will continue for a week or until 20 votes have been received, whichever is longer.
- In case of a tie, voting will continue until the tie is broken
- The winner will become an administrator of the Piano Compositions group!

3/25 UPDATE: Voting is now available via this form: https://goo.gl/forms/2f5m666H2TAf5g522

March Challenge: Waking Spring

Hey guys! Thanks for being patient with us posting this!
Your challenge is simple! Create a theme that represents the beginning of spring!
Not too hard right? And please make sure the duration of your song is at least a minute.

We are so excited to see what you guys create!
Remember, what’s most important, is to have fun! Now go compose some music!

Also, an FYI, we are still excepting signups through tomorrow (Feb 28th). But we are no longer accepting signups when March starts. The challenge ends in exactly a month (March 27th).

Another FYI:
We did not receive scores from everyone that signed up last month.
So this challenge, we are adding a new... feature, you could say.
Through March 3rd, you have the option of backing out of the challenge if you desire. Please don’t back out after this date, as it can be hard for me and John to contact you if you haven’t completed the score, and the challenge has ended. Thank you for your cooperation.

Now, go compose! I’m so excited to see what you guys create for this challenge.

Good luck!

-Jay

Make sure remember the deadline! If you haven't sent in a score 3 days before the deadline, me or Jay will send you a private message reminding you. Remember, what we're looking for is a happy, bright kind of a feel in your score. May the best score win, and I am so excited to hear you guys! May the challenge begin!! Best of luck!

-John
