This course is designed to help students upgrade their skills on the Cajon. How To Play The Cajon: Intermediate Level is the follow-up course to How
To Play The Cajon: For Beginners.
This course is divided into three sections. Hand Technique, Grooves and Fills and World Music Rhythms.
There are some fun music play-along tracks to jam along with.
Each video lecture will provide students with clear and easy to follow instructions. The learning process is gradual and each lesson builds upon the other.
This course also includes an easy to read pdf of the exercises and patterns featured throughout the video in music notation form.
Hand drumming is an easy and fun form of personal expression. Students will gain self confidence, improve concentration and relieve stress by taking
this course!
Course Objectives
Students will increase their hand technique by working on some challenging hand patterns and drum rudiments used by drum set and rudimental
drummers.
Learn to adapt some popular music grooves and fills to the cajon.
Study world music rhythms like the Bossa Nova, the Samba and Flamenco and Arabic rhythms.
Take your cajon skills to the next level.
Improve you self confidence, and learn to express yourself on this amazing hand drum!
Course Requirements
You will need a cajon to practice with. You can buy or rent one from your local music store. Also, bring your energy and enthusiasm!
Students should have some experience playing the cajon.
Be able to read music notation.
